Style Crush : Diane Kruger At Cannes

May 31, 2012

Diane Kruger is a style icon in the making with her effortlessly glamorous red carpet looks. The actress who dresses herself definitely has a keen eye for fashion and knows what works on her. It comes as no surprise that the first time jury member was a stellar show stopper at the 65th Cannes Film Festival this year. She turned it out from the start floating into the opening ceremony in a diaphanous aqua one shoulder draped Giambattista Valli Couture gown and continuously reigned the red carpet in a parade of impeccable looks that culminated with a voluminous Christian Dior Couture checkered organza and lace ball gown at the closing ceremony. Her romantic Nina Ricci paneled dress with floral and feather embellishments was my favorite. Which is yours?

  4. I think the long gold gown would be my favorite.

There wasn't much extra goop at the bottom of the powdered stuff assuming I used super hot water, but mine definitely weren't hand ground so that could make a difference. I probably would just toss the goop myself, but straining sounds like the more intelligent thing to do. :)

When I have things I shouldn't my hands get sore and fingers swell and my feet feel like I'm walking on giant bruises and sometimes get a bit swollen too. It's super fun going down stairs like I'm 90 years old and there are stairs at work so everyone knows. I had to tell them when I told them I couldn't have wine or beer with them for beer hour on Friday - I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable thinking I was an alcoholic and they were all drinking in front of me {there's some Patron there that seems to be okay and :)}. If I eat well and wear the right shoes it's better but it's hard to eat perfectly. The thing I can't eat is in things like garlic and onions and sugar and eggs but also pretty much everything else - it's used as a process ingredient on so many things so they don't even have to list it 99% of the time so it's hard even when I'm trying. Apparently this is a thing that happens but no doctors seem to care about it or know what to do if they care. Hence the witch doctor, hopefully she can figure out what is wrong {I think she uses magnets} and what I can do to fix it. I was told about her by someone who was allergic to water and if she can figure that one out....

I hope you are having a good short week!

  36. She kills it in every single look. My favorite is that Jason Wu. It's like a shirt dress meets lingerie, with a touch of Greek goddess thrown in there. Whoa.

May the force be with you.
