Rena & Ian : Sweater Weather

November 28, 2012
On Ian: Sweater: Ken // On Rena : Sweater: Barbie

The weather has taken a turn for the colder side so Ian and Rena are now sporting new sweaters. Rena is just thrilled by how handsome Ian looks in his and he thinks she looks quite pretty in her turtleneck too. They're both really looking forward to the upcoming holiday season and getting to play in the snow.

I was recently a guest on Ivana's fabulous Brunch with a Blogger series. If you haven't visited her terrific blog Macarons and Pearls, you may be missing out. She is a total sweetheart and shares really awesome fashion & lifestyle tips and recipes. Do click on over and check out what's rocking my world.

Gratitude

November 21, 2012

With everything that's happened this year, I feel like nothing should ever be taken for granted and my heart is filled with gratitude for everything wonderful in my life. If you are celebrating tomorrow, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope your day is filled with family, friends, and all the things that make you happy. Thank you all so much for stopping by, reading, commenting, sending emails and just sharing this space with me! I'll be back with new posts next week.

Eye Candy : Won Bin for Chris.Christy

November 13, 2012

If you've been following our Hurricane Sandy experience, I'm happy to report that our heat and hot water was restored last Friday and things are slowly getting back to normal. Here on the blog, let's get back to some eye candy shall we. Actor Won Bin fronts the 2012 FW Campaign for Korean clothing label CHRIS.CHRISTY. The concept is an impromptu getaway in the middle of the night. I can't believe he hasn't appeared in anything since the hugely successful film The Man from Nowhere in 2010. He must be waiting for the right project. I remember him fondly from Autumn in My Heart which was one of the first Korean dramas I ever watched. Total melodrama! Won Bin, Song Hye Gyo and Song Seung Hun are all such big stars now. I prefer his hair more in last year's campaign but he's still mighty attractive and many people probably wouldn't mind getting away with him.

Fun Fact: Won Bin is the same age (34) as Psy, the rapper behind the insanely popular Gangnam Style but he sure looks younger doesn't he.

Adventures In The Dark & A Winner

November 6, 2012

Following up from my last post, this was the view uptown from my apt. building that Hurricane Sandy left us with for 4 nights after our power went out last week. The lit skyline in the distance almost felt like it was of a different land rather than the same city. I had a similar feeling as we rode the bus home from midtown and it crossed over 39th Street from business as usual to pitch black and a hush would fall over the entire bus. On Thursday night we were deposited on 23rd Street by our bus driver and informed that he could go no further as it was too dark and deemed dangerous. We thought about hailing a cab but it was only 6:20 so we decided to make our way home by foot. We've done this over 30 block walk many times but never in darkness without the aid of traffic lights. It was a little scary but there were flares set up along the avenue and crossing guards posted at major intersections. The irony was that much of our journey was lit by passing buses going into Brooklyn on the very same route that our downtown bus would've taken and it wasn't too dangerous for them. Let's just say that I was a little fired up at the MTA that evening. Our walk didn't end there as we live on the 10th floor. Going up 10 flights generally wasn't all that bad even though I'm not as fit as when I used to do it everyday but it was killer after our long "stroll". The absolute darkness of the stairwell was seriously eerie though. I always had to listen carefully for people coming for fear that I might scream if someone came up suddenly. My trusty little flashlight helped alot. Isn't it fabulous?
