Through My Lens : Recently

pink tulip
Tulips are so pretty this time of year especially in pale pink.
pink love salts
Picked up these lovely pink bath salts at Urban Outfitters after PT the other week.
It was marked down to $9.99 with 30% off. Went back and bought 2 more a few days later.
marc jacobs beauty lovemarc lip gel role play, illamasqua zygomatic cream blush
Both are keepers and I have a feeling they will be showing up in my next Recent Loves post.
graze nibblebox
My second Graze nibblebox arrived and this one is even better than the first. Read my full review of Graze.
chinese water spinach
Taking advantage of one of our favorite veggies being in season now.
This is called water spinach in English and tung choy in Chinese which means hollow vegetable.
My go to cooking method for most veggies is to sauté them with a bit of garlic.
Growing my own green garlic. It's so easy and tasty.
my belly's playlist
My Belly's Playlist is our favorite takeout spot lately.
That name and this packaging is awesome.
kale caesar salad
Yummy kale caesar salad from My Belly's Playlist. Have to try to make this at home soon.
artichoke basille margherita pizza
Artichoke Basille's margherita pizza is one of my favorite NYC slices.

The food looks delicious! I love water spinach, one of my favorite asian veggies. We always try to order it at our favorite chinese restaurant since I can never find it at our local asian supermarket. And what a great deal on those bath salts, i'd go back and get some more too :)

You are so great at taking photographs. I love this kind of post where people write about random bits and bobs that have been a part of their lives lately. The food from My Belly's Playlist looks lush. Bring it to the UK! Rosemary x

Hi Rowena, this post has made me super hungry with all the delicious food on display. Water spinach sounds great, I don't think we get it here, you're growing your own garlic, thats terrific! I love that pink MJ lip shade and the tulips look so beautiful. Yes, the styling for short hair is so much easier and fuss free! Hope your week is going well :)

I love Urban Outfitters but haven't been in so long! Those bath salts were such a good price and I love how elegant it looks in the jar. That pizza looks delicious and like actual food! Mmm!

Lovely post!
I rarely see pale pink tulips like those. The weather has been cruel to the spring flowers this year, which makes me feel sad.
I had crossed off MJ makeup for some reason, but that lipstick looks so cute, I think I will look again. ;)

Your photos are SO gorgeous it's NOT EVEN FAIR. (Everytime I see these photos I begin to seriously consider the 50 1.8, but I really dislike the sounds it makes)(Also, you should get instagram, jus' sayin' :D) (AND, I am loving the excessive amount of pink in this post)
I never really know how to cook that choy (not my favourite tasting choy), but what makes it really tasty for me is a few spoons of shrimp sauce while stir frying.

Beautiful pictures!! Soft pinks give the pictures such a romantic and girly vibe. Can't wait to read your reviews on the pink salt. I love using himalayan pink salt in cooking but never tried it as bath salts (I absolutely love the Fig + Yarrow packaging). The food looks delicious. :)

Wah! I didn't see those at my UO when I went the other day. Well, I guess it's for the better since I don't take baths anyway ;x I'm currently growing my own kale and I think everything just tastes better when I grow it myself :)

Tulip! My favourite flower, you really made my day by posting such a lovely picture of it... thanks Rowena. Have read quite much about marc jacob's makeup range previously but too bad, our Sephora here don't carry them...

I love tung choy! Lol. It's the dish that I always get when I'm out for some chinese food (I know, I really should learn to cook). Now I'm really hungry! :P

I usually only see brightly colored tulips, but those pale pink ones are so perfectly beautiful. Makes me want to have a lovely bouquet of them for my home!
