I thought jelly sandals were cool as a kid. They usually came in such bright cheerful colors and just seemed like they'd be fun to wear. I never had a pair and I never really thought about wearing them as an adult until I spied these lovely Sophia Webster Violeta Sandals. The updated sleek silhouette, candy colored straps and glitter finished heels lend a charming and grown up feel to this childhood classic. They'd be great for the summer paired with shorts or dresses. Did you have a pair of jelly sandals when you were a child? Would you consider wearing them now? For everyone who liked Ji Chang Wook's fabulous flamingo print bomber. It's from Zara Man andavailable here.
Park Shin Hye is the picture of modern urban glamour in this InStyle Korea editorial photographed by Zoo Yong Gyun on the streets of New York City. It's pretty cool to see locations that I'm actually quite familiar with here. I walked across the Holland Tunnel pedestrian bridge on Laight and Varick pictured above just last week. It's a fantastic backdrop for photos as are the cobblestone streets of Tribeca though they can be a little difficult to negotiate in high heels like Shin Hye is wearing in these photos. She must've worked on this shoot when she was in town recently for the DramaFever awards. The 24 year old actress who started acting at 13 has blossomed into a lovely young woman. In the accompanying interview, she revealed that she would like to try the action genre in a Tomb Raider like film. I really like how this editorial contrasts with her Audrey Hepburn inspired one and the styling is superb. Happy Memorial Day to my friends in the US today. Let us be thankful as we honor and remember those who bravely made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for those who still serve. We have a winner in the Good Earth Beauty giveaway!
Ji Chang Wook may have wrapped work on Empress Ki and the good news is that this hasn't brought a halt to all his evocative magazine appearances of late. This fun and playful one for the June issue of CeCi Korea may be my favorite one to date. How cute does he make eating corn look? I really like how the comely actor transitions from boyishly charming to urbane in the following editorial for Gentleman magazine. The chic wearable styling is usually a draw for me when it comes to featuring his pictorials. I do think the fashions featured in both of these are pretty snappy and he totally pulls off every look.

On Rena: Barbie Model Muse Blouse & Skirt // On Ian: Vintage Ken Suit
Rena and Ian really enjoy cherry blossom season and one of their favorite pastimes is to lay under the trees on the fallen blossoms just enjoying their time together and daydreaming.
This is a photo from the archives. I really need to get back into some new photoshoots with my two favorite models soon. Lifestyle doll photography is actually a little more challenging and time intensive than it may seem. See more of their past adventures.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Lovemarc Lip Gel in 110 Role Play : I picked this up during the last Sephora VIB event and have been wearing it nonstop ever since. The "gellified lipstick" formulation is smooth, hydrating and longwearing. This highly pigmented shade which is described as dusty rose wears as a lustrous nude pink which is like the "perfect lips but better" color for me. The packaging is just as modern and luxurious as the lipstick. The sleek black case features a magnetic dot closure which prevents it from ever accidentally opening inside your bag. Amarte Natural Finish BB Cream : I discovered BB cream years before they became popular in the US thanks to my love of Korean dramas because that's what everyone in them used to create their flawless complexions. I tend to stick with the Asian ones because they just work better on my skin. This one is my current favorite. It provides long lasting moisturizing and buildable coverage with a natural glowy looking finish and SPF 36 protection. Key ingredients include argan oil, shea butter and caviar extracts. Amarte even claims that you can sleep in it because their natural pigments in a state of the art moisturizing base won't block pores. I don't plan on doing that but it's good to know I can if I had to. Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Light Penetrating Oil : A few drops of this lightweight oil really softens and silkens my hair before I dry it. I also like how it eliminates frizz and provides shine. I had been using Moroccanoil Treatment previously and I find the results from this product to be quite comparable. What's more, it has a fresh scent which smells better than Moroccanoil and is a fraction of the price. Have you tried any of these products? What are your recent loves? There was a time when I watched Hong Kong movies quite often and it seemed like Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi was in many of them. I did actually like her work but it's a sheer coincidence that I have little interest in HK productions these days and the 33 year old actress doesn't really take on film projects anymore. She stopped working after marrying singer/actor Nicholas Tse in 2006 and made a brief return to the industry after the couple ended their marriage in 2011. The last movie I recall seeing her publicize was an Asian remake of Dangerous Liasons with Jang Dong Gun and Zhang Ziyi in 2012. Cecilia has long left her wild child past behind and now spends her days as a devoted mother to her two sons Lucas and Quintus. She's certainly still strikingly beautiful as ever in this editorial for Singapore magazine Prestige. The laidback vibe and natural styling of these photos lends an almost candid quality to the pictorial which is rather refreshing. Don't miss the Good Earth Beauty natural products giveaway!

Immediately I liked their simple and earth friendly packaging.
Pink Lemonade Lip Scrub
Ingredients: sugar, organic sunflower oil, organic coconut oil, organic almond oil, organic shea butter, organic jojoba oil and flavor Flavors: Bubblegum, Cherry Vanilla, Chocolate, Lavender Vanilla, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry, Vanilla This was actually my first experience with a lip scrub and I really liked it. The sugar gently exfoliated and softened my lips and it had a light pleasant lemony scent and taste that was good enough to eat. I only had to use a little every time and I noticed that my lip products applied better after each use.
Milk Chocolate Lip Balm
Ingredients: organic sunflower oil, organic shea butter, beeswax, organic cocoa butter, natural flavor oils Flavors: Bubblegum, Cherry Vanilla, Chocolate, Lavender Vanilla, Milk Chocolate, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry, White Chocolate This lip balm had a subtle sweet flavor and a lightweight texture. I had to soften it a little out of the tin to apply on my lips but it was smooth and had a nicely moisturizing effect that doesn't wear off.
Lavender Body Balm Ingredients: organic sunflower oil, organic shea butter, beeswax, organic cocoa butter, organic jojoba oil Flavors: Geranium Rose, Lavender, Lemongrass, Tea Tree Patchouli, Unscented This balm needed to be emulsified abit before applying. I think it works better for targeted dry spots rather than all over because of that. It was moisturizing without any greasy feel though I would've liked if it absorbed a little better. The lavender scent was very faint which I was fine with. I could see this being good during the winter months

I'm glad there are so many grown up versions of graphic t-shirts available these days. I think they can be so fun and whimsical not to mention comfortable. Band tees used to be my favorite and I liked to wear them alot back when I was a student. Now I tend to prefer text versions layered under a blazer paired with jeans or tucked into a structured midi skirt for quick easy chic looks. I've totally been living in this one lately. Hey I like the graphics and supporting my team during baseball season. I'm thinking of adding a few more to my wardrobe particularly the luxury item tee and the ooh la laone which is only $8 right now! Would you wear any of these graphic tees? How would you style them?
Hyun Bin covers High Cut Korea and is looking suave as ever in the accompanying editorial lensed by Jeong Hwa Nuk. The actor's first project following his military service is the recently released period thriller The Fatal Encounter aka The King's Wrath which follows the real life tale of 18th century King Jeongjo who thwarts an assassination attempt on his life. It looks pretty intense from the commercials I keep seeing on Mnet and I was reading that this actual king survived 7 assassination attempts in just his first year of rule. One of the first Korean dramas I ever watched was My Lovely Sam Soon which featured both Hyun Bin and Daniel Henney. It was definitely Kim Sun Ah's show but let's just say it was quite visually pleasing whenever the both of them appeared on screen together. I really like the vintage vibe of this pictorial and somehow those large scale prints seem to work on him.

This month's Floral Friday is about capturing the blooming beauty we discover while out and about. We're quite fortunate to have a garden growing downstairs in our apartment complex so I didn't actually have to go too far for these lovely floral inspirations. This past Winter was particularly cold and long in NYC so the flowers have been late to arrive but they're slowly along coming now and what a welcome sight. The cherry blossom trees are always my favorite. They're really such a visual treat especially in full bloom. Rena and Ian are quite fond of them as well. What are your favorite Spring flowers? Floral Fridays is a monthly photography project with different themes each month. This series is about fun and taking time out to smell the flowers. To play along, please email Trishiefor next month's theme. And please visit my fellow participants below for more floral beauty. There's still time to enter our Mother's Day giveaway for a $500 C. Wonder gift card!
