Introducing Farmacy Beauty Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks

Farmacy Soothing Gel Mask

I'm a big fan of using facial masks regularly both for the maintenance of my skin and for addressing specific concerns. My favorite types are sheet masks for their ease and natural masks using ingredients from my kitchen so my interest was piqued when I learned about Farmacy Beauty's line of hydrating coconut gel masks which combine the efficacy of sheet masks with the power of farm-fresh vegetable extracts designed to target different skin needs. I got to try the Soothing mask that is activated by mineral rich kale.

About the Brand: Made with farm grown botanicals, Farmacy Beauty blends age-old wisdom with cutting-edge technologies. The brand has teamed up with local farmers in Upstate New York to create a unique line of irritant-free, bioactive skincare. The scientists and lab behind Farmacy are innovative experts in cosmetic formulation and research, and seek out nature’s most novel yet effective ingredients.

Product Claims: This calming mask provides a supercharged boosting solution for stressed, tired skin, helping to restore radiance, moisture, and tone.

Key Ingredients: This product is formulated with naturally derived ingredients. Kale extract offers a complex blend of minerals, antioxidants, vitamins, and amino acids that help rebalance vulnerable, stressed skin. Vitamin A strengthens the skin, while active minerals help restore the skin's ideal oil and water balance. The formula also contains Echinacea GreenEnvy™, a unique, patent-protected variant of echinacea purpurea that contains the highest known concentration of cichoric acid, which helps protect the skin by supporting natural collagen. The coconut gel provides intensive hydration and restores skin's balance, while the bio-cellulose sheet releases a complex of components to provide the skin's surface layers with a penetrating surge of active ingredients. It is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, formaldehyde and artificial coloring and is not tested on animals.

Packaging: The mask comes in a sealed packaged and the mask itself has two layers of protective film which have to be removed before use.

Price: $24 for a box of 3 masks and they offer mask medleys which contain 3 different masks.

Farmacy Soothing Gel Mask

My Thoughts: I've tried many types of sheet masks and I do tend to like the hydrogel variety the best because they adhere and absorb very well. That was until I met this coconut gel mask. This mask is the thinnest and lightest I've ever used and I was really impressed with how well it fit my face and how it stayed on without moving or dripping. With some sheet masks, the cutouts for the eyes and nose and lips are so way off that I just have to keep re-shifting it on my face but that was never never an issue here. The mask was generously soaked in formula which had a light sweet scent that I didn't mind. The recommended treatment is for 20 -25 minutes. I ended up leaving it on for 30 minutes and after removing the mask, there was still some formula on my skin which I massaged into my face. My skin looked smooth, toned and plumped. This has to be the best fitting sheet mask I've ever used and with it's natural ingredients I can feel good about putting it on my face. They have a Brightening formula with purple broccoli that I want to try next.
Farmacy Beauty

Farmacy Beauty Hydrating Coconut Gel Masks come in six formulations: Brightening (activated by Antizyme-rich Purple Broccoli Extract)
, Deep Moisture (activated by Vitamin C-rich Cucumber Extract), Soothing (activated by Mineral-rich Kale Extract)
, Firming (activated by Flavonoid-rich Celery Extract), Oil Control (activated by Lycopene-rich Carrot Extract) and Anti-Wrinkle (activated by Vitamin A-rich Rhubarb Extract).

These masks are all available for sale along with the rest of the brand's skincare line through their website as well as Sephora and QVC

Do you use sheet masks? What's your favorite?

I love masks but don't do them enough because I can never find one that doesn't really irritate my skin. I've always wanted to try the sheet kind, I've been curious about the eye, nose and mouth holes and wether they'd sit on properly or not.

I do love sheet masks so I'll definitely look into getting this. I didn't notice it when I was at Sephora last week, definitely will check where else I can get my hands on these in Canada.

I have definitely used sheet masks before -- they are the ones they sell at Korean beauty places. Most recently I used one made with charcoal and another from milk. I am not sure how effective they have been but I do love the cool feeling. :)

Me and you are so much alike Ro. I am so in love with facial mask. I also absolutely adore hair masque as well. As long as they're hydrating. I may have to check out this product. I love that the natural ingredients worked well.

I've never used masks before, but I'm beginning to consider trying some since my face is becoming obscenely oily, and my usual washes don't seem to be helping.

It is intriguing (& great) that the company is connecting with local farm for the ingredients.
I know Asian sheet masks are all the craze but most of them seem to do the same thing, which means they are all effective but not with long lasting results. It also bothers me that many of them contain parabens. Happy to hear they don't contain any of the nasties and ethically made. :)

I'm interested in trying these also Rowena! I've tried sheet masks here and there, but I like the fact that these fit better and there are so many options.

I'm not very patient {the lying around so the cutouts are in the right place kills me} but I do like how sheet masks make my skin feel. I've never tried this brand but I'll check it out when my current stack shrinks a bit. The more natural the better for me as you know so this brand looks promising. :)

I have never used a sheet mask. Probably because I am not that regular in using any masks to my face. Glad to hear you are very satisfied with this product!
