Well the winter weather finally arrived and snowstorm Jonas blew in and dumped a winter's worth of snow over 24 hours onto NYC. Of course when I'm encouraged to stay indoors, I just want to go out so we took a short walk during the height of the storm. This is a video I too that shows the intensity of it. These are just a few highlights from last month. To see more, click over to my Instagram feed and of course you can also follow if you'd like.
I don't ever wish for snow because it is really only pretty when it is falling. The day and week after, it just becomes mounds of grey and black slush and slush lagoons which are a real pain to navigate around in the city. This photo isn't that bad btw. I didn't want to snap a pic of the real grossness cause it's that disgusting. Most of the snow is gone now.
Our snow day eats included some of the hundreds of dumplings from our freezer that we made several weeks ago. I really like that I don't have to go buy out the grocery store whenever there's bad weather because I keep a well stocked pantry and refrigerator at all times.
Maman opened in Tribeca recently and we stopped by for brunch. This outpost is just as charming as the original in Soho which I had previously reviewed.
Taiwan Bear House offers solid Taiwanese comfort food like this Night Market Chicken Bento Box.
I love the seasonal eats at Sweetgreen and their bento bowl with sustainable steelhead fish is my current favorite!
Beautiful architectural details at the New York Public Library.
Awesome Bradley Theodore street art spotted on the Lower East Side.
Loving these Bite Beauty Mix & Mingle Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos! Read my mini review.
A little Sephora birthday haul: I repurchased my favorited NARS blush in Sin and the special RED edition of the Fresh Beauty Sugar Lip Treatment. The birthday gift this year is are minis of the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner and a Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I haven't tried the lipstick yet but I'm in love with the eyeliner.
