This atmospheric editorial inspired by Wong Kar Wai's In the Mood for Love pays an elegant tribute to the deeply stirring tale of love and longing portrayed in the film. Models Li Xiaoling and Zhao Lei stylishly channel the roles played by Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu Wai while showcasing looks from Jason Wu,Yigel Azrouel, Rodarte, Armani and Tom Ford. In the Mood for Love is one of my favorite movies that I'd totally recommend watching if you've never seen it. It is an absolute visual and cinematic treat. There is also a gorgeous short fashion film that accompanies this editorial.

I love it!
The woman looks so sexy and attractive, and the guy reminds me of the young Tony Leung Ka Fai.

ah yes! Most definitely inspired by the movie. Love that film tremendously, especially the performances by the two heavy weights, like you said, intensely rich in terms of visual styles as well as emotions by the characters. At times, watching a Wong Kar Wai's film suffocates you to a point, yet releases a certain bottled up emotions that may come with going through the ride that the characters bring you onto. It also reminds me of the film by Tom Ford's A Single Man, which I really love too *_^
As for the editorial, some pics work for me, some not really, nonetheless, it does manage to pull off that look and feel from the film, effectively.
Hope you will be enjoying your weekend soon! Big hugs
Please do, Elena. It's quite intense but lovely nonetheless!
I did love that movie and think I wrote it about it too a long time ago--what a classic, it always makes for good style inspiration! And I always love your eye candy posts ;) Hope you have a wonderful weekend Rowena!

As always, you always share the most gorgeous editorial. When I saw the first picture, I thought of Wong Kar Wai's In the Mood for Love... seriously! And there you go, it's all inspired from there. I love the whole dark oriental feel. I've not watched this movie before but I've read about it and I think I've to put it on my must-watch list.
BTW, I've replied your comments on my blog, Rowena. But I won't be copying and pasting them here since I've missed out on replying for too many posts and it would be loooooooooooong. Do check back when you're free.
