A Kevyn Aucoin Palette Giveaway to Celebrate My Blog Anniversary

I'm thrilled that rolala loves is celebrating it's 5 year blog anniversary this month. I initially started this space to support my photography business but then it somehow grew into it's own entity and I'm still at it. Reaching this milestone has me feeling nostalgic as I look forward. I thought it was appropriate to refresh the space at this time and I hope you like the new layout as much as I do.  I wanted a design with a clean and modern aesthetic and intuitive navigation that somewhat reflected the spirit of the former look. And I think this may be my favorite version of my logo yet. Thanks to everyone who's already noticed and given me feedback on it!

As I looked back on my posts I realized that as much as things have changed, they have also remained the same. I'm the sort who tends to live by consistency. I think this blog reflects that and it feels good to have remained true to who I am.  This has been a wonderful creative outlet and I feel an enormous sense of satisfaction when people who know me IRL tell me that reading my blog is like having a conversation with me. And it's immensely gratifying when someone comes back and tells me that they tried or watched something that I recommended. What I've enjoyed the most are the conversations that I have with you all on here and on your blogs. I've learned over the years that the blogging community is really amazing and the friendships I've gained is one of the rewarding aspects. The generous outpouring of encouragement and support I got from fellow bloggers/readers a few years ago when I was unwell meant the world and went a long way to help me to get through a really difficult time.

So I was thinking about where I want to go with rolala loves. Let me just say that I'll be doing this as long as I enjoy it. I always call this a lifestyle blog and the topics are a reflection of my varied interests. I'm not the sort who gets too personal because I don't look at my blog as my diary. And while I enjoy my life, it would be quite boring to read about. Instead I'll just continue bringing a personal perspective to whatever I write about. Everything that is covered here does conform to my personal preferences. Yes I really am partial to good looking, lanky Asian men with amazing hair because I'm married to one. The beauty focus will continue. Reviews are great but I want to get more into skincare and Asian beauty in general as well as focus on the products that I'm using. I'm big on wellness and organization and I'd love to bring that here. And I think I'd like to start sharing recipes again. You can also let me know what you'd like to see more of.
