Solvaderm Eyevage Review

Eye Cream Review

I recently introduced you all to Solvaderm Juvabrite Skin Brightening Complex and it has become a critical step in my current skincare routine. Along with that product, I've also been using Solvaderm's Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream. Anything that claims to be age defying usually catches my attention and this one also claims to be effective against multiple concerns of the eye area. Lines aren't as much of a concern for me as much as dark circles and I'm always looking for something that will vanquish them.

About the Brand: Solvaderm Skincare takes an integrative approach to skincare, combining innovation, education and safety into a simple, effective regimen dedicated to improving and preserving one’s skin health. As a forerunner of active phyto stem cell products, Solvederm redefines skin science by uniting the best of botanical active ingredients with the highest standards of science to create ground-breaking products.

Product Claims: Eyevage is a multi-action age-defying cream developed by leading dermatologists to address the issues that most commonly affect aging in the eye area. Concentrated anti-aging serum improves micro-circulation in the under-eye zone and lighten dark circles. Advanced firming complex infused with healing antioxidants and anti-inflammatories work to minimize puffiness and protect skin from environmental damage and oxidative stress. Ultra-conditioning moisturizers provide intensive hydration while working to banish fine lines and wrinkles.

Eye Cream review

Key Ingredients: Phytonadione, a skin-perfecting form of vitamin K that accelerates healing and repair. Arnica montana, an all-natural anti-inflammatory botanical extract that directly targets tissues in the eye area to help eliminate puffiness, swelling, and unsightly bags. Oxido Reductases, active enzymes that promote antioxidant activity to preserve skin health and combat the numerous cellular changes that contribute to aging. Soybean Protein and Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Protein,a dual botanical peptide complex that enhances micro-circulation in the skin surrounding the eye. Jojoba Seed Oil, a luxurious emollient that provides hydration and enhances the skin's natural ability to retain moisture. Apricot Kernel Oil helps fortify skin with a protective barrier that seals in moisture. Squalane, a highly effective skin-balancing compound that provides intense hydration along with wrinkle-fighting and line-banishing effects. Hyaluronic acid, an ultra-light hydrating compound that actually helps to restore skin's youthful composition and properties. Eriobotrya japonica extract, a nutrient-rich, fruit-based balm that's packed with anti-aging antioxidants and anti-inflammatories to fight puffiness and swelling seen in under-eye bags.

Eye Cream review

Packaging: A clinical looking BPA free plastic bottle with an airless pump dispenser.I really wish more products were packaged like this since it's hygienic and maintains the integrity of the product.

Price: $74.99 for 0.5 oz /15 ml

How to Use: Use a pea-sized amount of Eyevage and dab around each eye, following the orbital bone (eye socket). Apply morning and before bed every day.

My Thoughts: Out of the bottle, this eye cream is an off white color with a faint sweet scent which is fine with me. The silky and creamy texture makes it easy to apply and it sinks into the skin nicely without any irritation. While using this product for over two weeks, my eye area has been well hydrated and smooth. I also think it kept my undereye circles and puffiness at bay. With continued usage, it is supposed to fade dark circles which is big for me. There have been eye creams that have caused millia (tiny bumps) to develop around my eye area and that has not been an issue with this one. I almost like this as much as the retinol eye cream I've been using and I would actually consider making a switch. Most of the eye creams I usually buy are in the $50 - $60 range and this is a little more but I wouldn't mind spending a little more since this is a professional grade product made from organic extracts especially if it rids my dark circles with continued use.
Solvaderm Eyevage Age Defying Eye Cream is available for sale through the company's website. Solvaderm products are sold worldwide and backed by a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.

What are your eye area concerns? Are you using an eye cream or treatment to address them?

  4. I've used eye creams sporadically but I guess that with time I should pay more attention to this area and take better care. A product like this one would be perfect.

  6. So many great ingredients....no wonder it costs a bit more. I do use a eye cream but just the L'Oreal one. My eye issues have always been bags, but lately, it's been the appearance of lines....sigh....

  10. Holy cow, that is a freaking expensive eye cream but you're right, the price is worth it if the product works. My main concerns are fine lines and crow feet, I don't have puffiness and dark circles (yet!) but I'm sure they are not far behind in appearing any time soon.

  18. The biggest issue I have is puffiness or fluid retention under the eye. I have yet to find a product that really makes an impact on this, but this may be worth giving it a shot.

  24. A good eye cream is hard to come by. This sounds pretty good. I do have some tiny bumps around the eye area as a result of using some creams that are too rich so it's good to know this one hasn't been an issue for you

  25. Hi Rowena! I've been using an eye cream for a year now and I think I won't stop, as it makes my eye area smooth. I'd love to try this product! Although it's a bit expensive, I think eye area deserves the best care you could give it, so the price doesn't really matter. I am glad to hear you are happy with this product. Wishing you a nice day ahead!

  29. I don't have any eye concerns...I do think it makes sense to use a special cream for the eye area because I know the skin there is more sensitive but I never remeber to do it or to buy a special eye cream.

  30. the packaging is beautiful. i think i should really consider my eyes but i always end up with white dots forming every time i use creams or serums. i haven't used anything in years but perhaps i should look into possible routine around my eyes

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hmmm, I'd be interested in hearing if it works long term. No matter how much sleep I get, my dark circles look like I haven't slept in years. I just ordered something from Innisfree that is supposed to help with circles. If that doesn't work I might try vitamin C. If this works for you after you've used it a while, I'd be interested to try it.
