Fashion : Temperley London Resort 2014

June 24, 2013

" She is an enchanted princess from the South of France who lives a charmed life and only ever wears beautiful clothes." is Alice Temperley's description of the muse for her perfectly enchanting Resort 2014 collection. Sumptuous lace and jacquard fabrics take on the most ladylike silhouettes punctuated with decadently simple embellishments like floral embroideries and petal appliqu├ęs. The ethereal evening gowns, vintage inspired sheath dresses and flowy skirts really do befit a princess. It's really no wonder why this is one of Kate Middleton's favorite labels. I adore this collection for it's modest styles and vintage luxe aesthetic. What are your thoughts on it? And what are some of your resort 2014 favorites?

Google Reader is shutting down July 1st. If you haven't found a new reader yet, be sure to check out out my breakdown of some alternative readers.

Recent Loves

: Dr. Jart V7 Cleansing Foam : I bought this cleanser for the antioxidant benefits and it delivers all that and more. V7 stands for 7 vitamins (A, B3, B5, C, E, F, H) each of which has it's own function like smoothing, brightening, moisturizing, etc. It has a pleasant light citrus scent and just a tiny dot produces the creamiest lather. Most importantly, my sensitive skin is clean, glowy and moisturized afterwards.

: Elchim 3800 Idea Luxury Edition Professional Hair Dryer : We all know that heat styling isn't great for your hair so a quality dryer is an important investment because more power and ionic technology equals less drying time and smoother tresses. This 2,000 watt Italian-made powerhouse dries my hair in a flash, leaving my bob frizz-free and shiny. I'm actually happy that our T3 conked out.

: Enlightened Ice Cream : I try not to eat much sugar but I also like my ice cream so I was pretty excited when I discovered this frosty treat which isn't artificially sweetened and contains just 3 grams of sugar. What's more, each bar is only 70 calories and comes packed with protein and fiber. I've tried 2 of the 3 flavors, Orange Cream and Coffee. They're both delicious and satisfying. I haven't been able to find the Fudge yet but I'm still looking.

This will be a new regular feature on the blog. Have you tried any of these products? And do tell if you have any recent loves.

Health update: Let's just say things are continuing to move in the right direction.

Blog Tech : Google Reader Alternatives

June 17, 2013
Google Reader will be retired on July 1st. Have you found a replacement yet? If not, you still have two weeks. And to help, here's a guide with a breakdown of some of the other RSS readers out there that I've tried along with my two cents.

Favorites : Peonies

June 13, 2013

Pretty flowers make me happy especially when they're my favorites which happen to be peonies.
They look gorgeous and smell amazing! I just love it when they're in season. What is your favorite flower?

Health update: I'm feeling considerably better this week. The vertigo episodes have been less frequent and my ankle injury is pretty much healed. That said, I'm not pushing my luck and still taking it easy for the time being.

Eye Candy : Won Bin for Chris Christy

June 10, 2013

Vertigo really must've gotten the better of me because I actually saved these photos to share awhile ago and totally forgot about them. Anyway they still look just as good so better late than never. Actor Won Bin continues his stint as the face of Korean clothing label CHRIS.CHRISTY and here he is fronting their 2013 SS campaign. I must say his hair looks much better than in the FW campaign. There have been rumors that he is in talks for a new film project which has people buzzing since he hasn't appeared onscreen since 2010 in the highly successful movie The Man from Nowhere which was excellent albeit a tad violent.

Eye Candy : Han Hyo Joo for W

June 6, 2013

Han Hyo Joo is a vision of refined elegance wearing fashions and accessories by Chanel in this W Korea editorial photographed by Kim Yeong Jun. I really like the chic simplicity of the black and white styling. I've yet to watch any of her films but I'm looking forward to catching Masquerade/Gwanghae which I've heard is excellent soon. The last drama I watched with Hyo Joo was Brilliant Legacy. She and Lee Seung Gi were so cute together in that. I was impressed by what a great sport she was on Running Man when she actually volunteered herself for the mission to get her hair permed. It didn't look attractive even on her and she just took it all in stride. The pretty actress plays a rookie cop in the upcoming action thriller Cold Eyes/Stakeout which features Jung Woo Sung as a villain for the first time in his career.

Health update: My ankle is feeling much better this week. I'm even mobile again. I suspect my vertigo may have something to do with a magnesium deficiency which I'm trying to correct with supplements and epsom salt baths. I'm hopeful that this will help. Thank you everyone for your kindness and support!
