ZIIP Halo Microcurrent Facial Toning Device Review

What is the ZIIP Halo?

The ZIIP Halo is an advanced at-home beauty device designed to deliver a microcurrent facial to your skin and facial muscles. These currents stimulate and boost collagen production levels and improve overall skin health, texture, tone and elasticity, resulting in a more youthful, lifted, and radiant complexion. The device is compact, user-friendly, and pairs with a dedicated app that offers various treatment programs tailored to your skin’s needs—whether your concern is fine lines, dullness, or sagging.

How does this microcurrent device work?

The magic lies in ZIIP's Dual Waveform Technology featuring low-level electrical currents that mimic the body’s natural electrical signals. Microcurrents are "instant effect" electrical waveforms that work on the surface, toning facial muscles and providing an immediate lifting effect. Nanocurrents penetrate deeper to stimulate cellular repair and collagen production to rejuvenate skin from within. Together, they create a powerful synergy that addresses both short-term and long-term skin concerns. Because it is the designed to work across the full spectrum of electrical currents, the ZIIP Halo treats a wide range of skincare concerns. Besides lifting, it will also contour and work to improve skin firmness, texture and tone while boosting the absorption of active ingredients in your skincare to enhance their efficacy.

Who should use it?

If you’re looking for a way to achieve a more sculpted, youthful appearance without resorting to invasive procedures, the ZIIP Halo should be your new best friend. The microcurrents stimulate facial muscles for an immediate lifted and contoured effect making it perfect for anyone looking to maintain a rejuvenated glow without surgery.

First impressions of the ZIIP Halo

Out of the box, the ZIIP Halo has a luxurious feel and a sleek minimalist appearance. The ergonomic design fit comfortably in my hand. A USB-C charging cable and the ZIIP Electric Complex Conductive Gel are included. It’s recommended to charge the ZIIP Halo before using and this was a fairly quick process.

Setting up the device was quick and simple as well.  After downloading the ZIIP app and syncing the Halo via Bluetooth, I was ready to start my first treatment. The app offers a range of programs tailored to different skin goals. It has an intuitive interface that guides you step-by-step, ensuring you get the most out of your device. The ZIIP Halo is pre-programmed with a four-minute treatment known as THE LIFT which is great if you're short on time and still want a quick contour.

My experience using the ZIIP Halo

I tried THE LIFT treatment the first time I used my ZIIP Halo. The brand recommends applying 4-8 pumps of Electric Complex Gel to clean, dry skin. The conductive gel is essential for the currents to penetrate the skin effectively. I found 4 pumps was enough since my face is relatively small. After turning it on, you make contact with the globes and glide the device upwards and outwards on one side of your face; ever time you feel a vibration, you move up to the next section and repeat. After 2 minutes, a beep guides you to switch to the other side of the face. When the treatment is done, the Halo will beep twice and automatically shut off.

As I glided the silver globes upwards from my jawline to forehead, I could feel the currents vibrating, especially around my jawline and I could swear my forehead twitched a little. The tingling sensation was a little odd but not in a bad way. It was actually somewhat relaxing and the cooling effect of the conductive gel adds to the soothing experience. By the third time I used my ZIIP Halo, I was on the Glass Skin treatment plan and I didn't even notice the currents anymore.

Using the ZIIP Halo

How often should you use it

So ZIIP recommends using the device up to five times a week. Rest days are essential to let the muscles recover. I've been using mine four to five times a week and it is truly low effort. And it always feels like a treat because of the immediate lift and glow it gives to my face. According to ZIIP, It takes around 6 weeks of consistent use to really achieve the HALO EFFECT - brighter, more balanced, rejuvenated skin.

My experience using the ZIIP Halo

So I’ve been using the ZIIP Halo for almost 4 weeks and here’s what I’ve noticed.

Immediate results

After the first session, my skin looked noticeably lifted and more contoured. The effect lasted around 48–72 hours, which was nice. I can see using this before important or special occasions to take of advantage of this .

Long-term results

The results are cumulative. After a few weeks, I started to see more defined cheekbones, reduced puffiness, and a smoother overall texture. My skin feels firmer and more toned and appears more radiant and rejuvenated.

Ease of use

The app’s step-by-step instructions and video demonstrations make it easy to follow along. You can tailor your treatment plan according to your skin goals. Each treatment lasts between 5 to 15 minutes, making it easy to incorporate into a busy routine. Personally I'm a fan of the Glass Skin treatment plan. I also like the Founder's Favorite for a quick sculpting treatment.

Gentle on skin

Despite its high-tech capabilities, the ZIIP Halo is extremely gentle and didn’t cause any irritation or discomfort.

Why I love the ZIIP Halo

As someone who has had professional in-office treatments before, I can definitely appreciate the ease and convenience of the ZIIP Halo. Because it is gentle and non-invasive, it is suitable for all skin types. The treatments are safe and painless and more importantly, they actually work to produce visible results. My skin definitely has taken on a more toned and radiant appearance since I've been using the ZIIP Halo. Since the results are cumulative, I look forward to seeing further long-term improvements with continued usage. I have this fear of developing jowls and I'm confident my ZIIP Halo will help keep them away. Now is this something everyone needs? Not necessarily but you might want it to help take your skincare routine to the next level.

My final thoughts on the ZIIP Halo microcurrent device

Priced at $399.99, the ZIIP Halo is an investment, but considering the results you can get for the minimal effort, it’s a practical investment especially since comparable microcurrent facial treatments at the spa or dermatologist's office can be both pricey and time-consuming. With consistent use, you can achieve  professional results mimicking a non-surgical face lift at home while saving money and time. If you're considering getting a facial device, the ZIIP Halo offers a compelling mix of innovation and performance that can make it a worthy addition to your skincare routine.

The ZIIP HALO can be purchased from ZIIP Beauty. The brand is offering 10% off to my readers with the code ROLALA.
