Eye Candy : Chen Kun for Van Cleef & Arpels

Van Cleef & Arpels recently introduced a contemporary version of their signature Pierre Arpels watch in a campaign lensed by Chen Man featuring Chinese actor Chen Kun. This iconic timepiece was originally created in 1949 by Pierre Arpels for himself. It was initially only reproduced for select members of his social circle and in 1971 was commercially released as part of the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels Watchmaking collection. I'm going to fangirl for just a moment and mention that I am swooning over how handsome Chen Kun looks in these photos.

I love it when men take the time to dress properly. Unfortunately they typically (my husband for example!) do not enjoy shopping :(

Very handsome and beautiful watch!

I'm definitely not noticing the watches in these photos. :)

I agree with the quantity over quality but I fell off the wagon for a while when I got discouraged over finding quality things. I'll definitely take a look at what you suggest when I am ready to buy something again but that will be a long time from now. I don't buy clothes often but I have nothing nice to wear for things this fall and winter so this skirt and top will be seeing a LOT of use.

It's funny that A+O used Schumacher fabrics for their clothing. There were some other fabric reps around here who used to make pants out of upholstery fabrics but they don't do that anymore. Did they do it for their regular line or was it for samples? It seems like that would be really expensive.

Isn't it amazing what a great watch can do for an oufit? Although the guys doesn't need much more than himself!
