Floral Friday : Garden Flowers

Since I live in New York City, I don't have my own garden but we're rather fortunate to reside in an apartment complex that has a nice garden downstairs. It's tended to by residents who are wonderful gardeners as gorgeous flowers like this one pop up throughout the year. This vibrant beauty bloomed last month.

Do you have your own garden or live near one?

Floral Friday is a monthly photography project with different themes each month. This series is about fun and taking time out to smell the flowers. To play along, please email Trishie for next month's theme.

A winner was selected in the NYFW themed Birchbox giveaway.

This is such a nice photography project! I enjoy seeing photos of different flowers, but taking them too! Unfortunately, I don't have my own flower garden and I live in a concrete jungle. Luckily, my grandmother is the best gardener I know and her garden is like a flower paradise in summer! Wish you a lovely weekend!

Beautiful and amazing photo Rowena. I wish I had a garden but that's not the case. Would be an awful lot of work too and I'm not good at gardening. Sadly :D Happy Friday!!

My mother in law has beautiful gardens and gorgeous flowers...I don't do so well with them. Maybe someday when the kids are grown, I'll have some free time. In the meantime, I enjoy hers and take all my flower pics over there. :)

My parents' home have got beautiful lush plants and flowers in the balcony and along the corridor. They are so beautiful that neighbours or passer-bys actually pluck them! Im glad that amidst the concrete of NYC there is a garden respite below your apartment.

That's really pretty. It's nice you have people to take care of the flowers that you enjoy! It's the best of both worlds. :)
