Embracing... messy hair. I just had my hair cut and I asked my stylist to really piece out my a-line bob this time. It's no longer sleek like this and I love how it works with the natural wave in my hair and lends well to a more undone look. Maybe I'll break my no selfie rule and post a pic on Instagram soon.

Reading... China Rich Girlfriend. It took me forever to get around to reading Crazy Rich Asians but I finished it in a day during jury duty earlier this year. I look forward to starting this sequel soon and getting through it without interruption.

Watching... 1N2D again since finding it on Youtube. The first season of this Korean variety show was my favorite and it had the best cast. We gave it another chance since Running Man has gone to crap lately and I have a renewed enjoyment for it. The current cast is pretty fun too with the exception of Jung Joon Young who just seems like a rude little prick.

Listening... to Standing Egg and loving their mellow sound.

Eating... stews again. We went off them during the summer cause they can be heavy but stews are so easy and great when it's cool outside. Our favorite is an Asian style ox tail stew. I keep a jar of the sauce which I reuse and the flavor gets better every time.

Drinking... hot lemon water with a little manuka honey. I started having this when I had a minor cold the other week and have been supplementing my daily hot lemon water with another cup with manuka honey.

Amused... by Socality Barbie. This parody account is total genius in the ironical way it pokes fun at all of the most clichéd types of photos on Instagram. The pictures are actually really well done and they're almost like a primer on the kinds of photos one should stay away from if they don't want to be like everyone else.

Wearing... jeans and sneakers most of the time. Hey I like to be comfortable.

Enjoying... the charms of autumn in New York City and also staying in more as the weather chills.

Eyeing... this lovely herringbone patterned coat!

Looking forward to... the nice fall weather to hang around for awhile before winter arrives.

What's up with you?

Hey, Rowena, rules are there to be broken. I will look forward to your selfies on Instagram! ;D
I think I am going to flip my closets and shoe boxes this weekend, which I think will make me have more fun coordinating outfits for the season, although it feels like I just did this a little while ago. *sighs*
I really want to visit Bronx Zoo this fall. I want to see those pumpkin-rolling bears (the promo pic on Twitter was totally cute)! It would be my first time. Can you believe it?
Have a great holiday weekend! :)

We loved 1N2D but didn't like it much when the cast changed. Did they add new people again? Will have to check it out! Happy weekend to you!

I hope you'll show us your new hair cut, Rowena! And LOL at Socality Barbie IG pictures, I had a good chuckle out of them and it's so refreshing to see pictures that poked fun to the most cliche poses! Haha!

Lemon water really does make a difference. I infuse it with a touch of fresh ginger or fresh mint sometimes. That Standing Egg video is kind of soothing too, will get my bff to translate other parts. :)
Have a lovely weekend Rowena. <3

I've read about sociality Barbie in one of Croatian magazines and I really liked both the concept and the photography...but I forgot to look it up on instagram...and speaking of, I hope to see your new hairdo there...maybe it is time to break no selfie rule:). I like selfies in moderation( don't really take them often myself) ... I think that just like with everything, there is a point when it becomes too much. I mean it is great to share your make up, hairdo of the day but some people have only selfies on their insta profile and I find it kind of creepy...have you ever came across this type of accounts that are 99.9 percent selfies....did you find them a bit ....strange?

I'm currently ....reading Invisible Man ( I know it is such a classic but I only now got to it)..wearing all kinds of things, but I did wear jeans and sneakers yesterday ...and I even wore jeans today but with heels. Sometimes I don't wear jeans for weeks but than I suddenly miss them and get back to them. I have an on and off relationship with them.

Oh that book sounds good, I am still reading The Goldfinch, it is good but dragging a bit towards the end. I am going to add this to my list.

Post the selfie! I think it's a great way to interact a bit more with readers, and it makes things more personal as well. Socality Barbie is hilarious, though I'm definitely guilty of taking tons of similar photos.

I want to read China Rich Girlfriend too. I read Crazy Rich Asians earlier in the year and it was so over the top, but definitely entertaining! I've also been craving stews recently. Now that the weather has cooled down, bring on all the warm, hearty meals!

I'd love to see your new haircut. My hair is messy but not in a fancy sort of way. :) I agree that it would be nice to keep this fall weather around for a while, it's my favorite time of year. I was just thinking about making some fall comfort foods for this week. Stews sound amazing!

Sign me up for herringbone anything! I keep meaning to get hold of 'Crazy Rich Asians', but I constantly forget to. And oddly enough, though I don't have a cold, I've actually started drinking lemon tea with honey as of late because ~cosy~.
Me and my friends are now hooked on saying 'living authentically' because of Sociality Barbie. We use it ironically, but these days we can't seem to stop and maybe we aren't using it ironically anymore... *-*
