It's been awhile since I've been excited about eyeshadow but the b-glowing Illuminate + Shine Eyeshadow Palette is one worth getting excited about. There's a lot to like about this rule-breaking, innovative palette from its complementary colors formulated with skin loving ingredients to the luxurious zipper clutch it comes in.

The eyeshadow shades in the Illuminate + Shine palette which are designed to complement each other can be worn individually, layered or mixed together, giving you countless options to the looks which can be achieved. Using the matte shades as a base beneath the shimmery ones creates a real  intensified effect. The darker shades can also be used in place of eyeliner. Vintage and Baroque both work really well in that capacity. I swatched these without primer to show the depth of coverage and pigmentation on bare skin.

This palette features a range of eight versatile, neutral shades that can easily be used to create looks for both day or night. The shadows which have a rich creamy texture are easy to work with. The highly pigmented shades are all buildable and blend easily. The velvety consistency is lovely and they can easily be used with or without primer. I'm able to get a solid 8 hours of wear sans primer without any creasing or drying and barely any fading or falloff.  It wears even better with primer and more importantly to me is that it's easy to remove without much effort. I was able to take this off effortless using Bioderma Sensibio H2O. I don't know about you but I hate tugging and rubbing at my eye area. And you know how there are always a few shades that you wouldn't use in a palette. I can find use for every shade here. They are all quite wearable. The one I'm using the most is Halcyon, a super pretty shimmery lilac shade. What's nice about the shimmer is that it is luminous without being shiny or glittery which makes it appropriate even for daytime.

The Brighten + Perfect Cream Base which works as a smoothing and brightening concealer is quite nice and having it in the same palette is so convenient. Color wise it works better for me as a an eye primer, providing a smooth base as well as extending the wear of the eyeshadows. The Inner Glow Cream is a silky highlighter that provides a natural and radiant finish. It's convenient that these products are contained within the same palette and practical that they're under a separate cover.

The palette itself is a little flimsy but it's not meant to be a standalone product. The reusable zippered blush pink leather clutch which houses it is both luxe and gorgeous. It has a nice full sized mirror which always useful while also making it easily portable and travel friendly. I can already think of a few ways to repurpose this case when I'm finished with this palette. It would be perfect as a travel jewelry case. This is such a well conceived, high quality and high performance eyeshadow palette that is perfect for everyday use. It will be replacing my only other eyeshadow palette since it has everything I need. I've actually enjoyed wearing eyeshadow more again since I've acquired it. Even though this palette was designed with the consideration of the skin needs of mature women, I think women of all ages would enjoy using it.
