Reading... The Eye: How the World’s Most Influential Creative Directors Develop Their Vision. This book turns the spotlight on some of the most influential creative directors in fashion, entertainment and publishing. As a creative, I'm especially fascinated by how they developed their eye and aesthetics and how that translates into their creative process.

Watching... Queer Eye Season 3. We love the Fab 5 and everything they stand for. The humanity of this show is just so uplifting and inspiring and makes me cry happy tears. Bobby Berk recently launched his website which has so much incredible design advice. And I don't really watch Game of Thrones but I'd watch Gay of Thrones. Jonathan Van Ness is flipping hilarious in this unique recap show.

Listening... to the Breaking Beauty Podcast. Billed as “the podcast all about the bestselling beauty products and the damn good stories behind them" this podcast co-created by two long-time beauty editors offers a glimpse inside a range of topics including highlighting the best new products, how breakthrough beauty products are created, the products beauty editors and insiders actually use as well as interviews with some of the biggest names in the beauty industry.

Eating... egg muffins for breakfast. These are quick and easy to make and to eat. They're also perfect if you're low carb like my husband and I try to be for the most part. And best of all the variations are endless and always allow for getting some vegetables in. My current favorite combo is broccoli, kale and cheese. My recipe: Use one egg per muffin, season as you wish, mix well, add desired fillings (some will need to be pre-cooked) and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. It's that simple!

Drinking... La Croix Cúrate. I'm a big fan of La Croix natural sparkling water. The Cúrate range has a stronger flavor profile while remaining calorie, sweetener and sodium free. I've tried a few flavors and the Kiwi Watermelon and Blackberry Cucumber are faves so far.

Cooking... with Thrive Culinary Algae Oil.  I'm not scared of fat as long as it's good fat. This heart healthy oil provides the highest level of monounsaturated fats, one of the good fats. One tablespoon has the same amount monounsaturated fats as one whole avocado. It's neutral flavor and high smoke point make it perfect for sautés and stir fries. Good news! We're getting our gas turned back on today. I hope I still remember how to use my stove. Our induction burner will be dedicated to 火锅 hot pot usage now.

Falling... asleep quicker and staying asleep longer thanks to Uma Pure Rest Wellness Oil. I have a little ritual where I breathe in the oil as I massage some in between my toes and on the balls of my feet a half an hour before bed. It knocks me out and next thing I know it's morning. Best of all it leaves me feeling well rested without any grogginess or give me weird dreams. We've been going to bed by 10:30 lately and it's the best.

Wearing... this pretty and feminine Girls Crew necklace I purchased recently from Local Eclectic which is a fabulous showcase for emerging and indie jewelry designers.

A quick personal update: I'm finished with my antibiotics which is a relief. 10 pills a day for 14 days was intense. I was so loopy and tired and they also killed my appetite. I had bronchitis at the same time and was miserable. The bright side was that I did get plenty of sleep and lost 5 pounds. I go back to my doctor in a few weeks for a test to see if the infection is gone.

That book about how creatives develop their eye sound fascinating. Going to bed by ten thirty makes so much sense. Nothing beats a good night sleep. That massage routine sounds like something I should try, it might help me sleep better. Good to hear you're done with antibiotics.

Glad to hear that you're done with antibiotics, fingers crossed for a clear test result! Thank you so much for the oil recommendation, I've been trying to look for a healthy option with high smoke point, and this one is perfect! Also how yummy do those egg muffins look! Maybe one of these weekends I'll try making them too!

Thank you again for the heads up about my recaptcha issue, chingu:) You were actually the second person to tell me that there were comment issues. I tried to do something the first time but since it looked like it didn't work, I contacted Blogger. They never got back to me but it looked like they fixed it. Yay:)

I've heard many good things about UMA oils. The Pure Rest Wellness oil sounds fantastic! I keep Aesop Istros spray in my bedroom and occasionally use it as it helps me to fall asleep faster but it is just a room fragrance with lavender. Have a nice week! :)

I used to make egg muffins all the time but haven't done so in years. I'm inspired to take these up again, thanks for the recipe, I don't quite remember what I used to do exactly but I remember it being effortless.
