Wish List

I get that not everyone is shopping during this time. I'm still sharing this post since it is a regular feature and I'm trying to maintain some sense of normalcy around here. My spending lately has been limited to food, wellness, necessities and things that make life at home better. For me this is definitely not the time for frivolous spending or wasting money buying things I don't need. We still haven't given up our dream of retiring early and would rather try to invest wisely now.

Items acquired from last month's wish list:
Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlight Stick (I haven't used it yet)

1. Wrap Front Dress
I worked from home before all of this and I always changed from my sleepwear into another outfit. It's usually some form of athleisure but lately I've been into wearing dresses cause I can't deal with pants and definitely not leggings (ill!). Something like fashion feels trivial now but with my husband at home, I like to look good and also be presentable when I step out onto the terrace for some sun and air. This breezy dress which looks both comfortable and chic fits the bill and it would be a nice piece during warmer months too. I also have a set of house clothes that I do house work and cook in. Pajamas are strictly for bed in our house because it's way more hygienic that way.

2. Originalist Slide Sandal
We've been spending time out on our terrace daily during quarantine and the old slip-ons I usually wear are starting to get a hole so I'm thinking of replacing them with these which will also nicely double as vacation beach slides.

3. Madewell x Parachute Striped Cotton Sheet Set
Our Parachute sheet set is one of our favorites because of it's high quality and softness. This classic striped set looks so sharp and comfy.

4. Mindful Design LED Indoor Herb Garden
Been saying that I should start growing my own herbs for awhile and now would be as good as any time to start. The streamlined and stackable design of this one is perfect for city living. I'm currently growing my own garlic scapes and green onions in water.

5. Sun Potion Ashwagandha
I've used an Ashwagandha tincture on and off for anxiety and it really works for me. I've heard great things about this powder and want to try it next.

6. Pure Enrichment PureRelief Electric Heating Pad
My microwavable heating pad which has been getting major usage has seen better days so I'm thinking of upgrading to this electric one which has 4 temperature settings.

7. Air Hockey Mini Table
We really enjoy hockey and have talked about getting a mini version. This light weight version which is just 22 inches long fits the bill and it's less than $20.

8. OTPT Pro Soft Density Foam Roller
I used a foam roller like this when I was in physical therapy previously for my shoulder and it is useful in some exercises which I'm doing now for my neck. I actually just ordered this and look forward to laying out on it which is both relaxing as well as a good way to stretch the neck and open the shoulders. My husband will be using it too.

I have a garden but in my backyard, I had never thought about buying an LED lamp it sounds like something very practical.

I'm also one of those that get changed when working from home. I think it's a must, and you get much more in the mood of working. And yes: dresses are definitely the best option! I love this one :)

I think buying an LED lamp sounds great for the garden. I also love to grow different veggies in my garden. I have planted cucumber, garlic, and coriander and love to harvest these veggies. Great post dear.

Have a great day. Hope you will safe and healthy.

Love that dress! I try not to wear pajamas during the day. I rather wear a dress as well especially now that the weather is getting warmer.

To be honest I havent thought much about spending lately - I was saving up for a new camera, but with recent events I probably wouldnt get much use out of it anyway.

So many great things here! ASOS is having a sale and I am so tempted to buy a dress though I can not afford it and would feel a bit guilty on the hand people would get paid and I would feel a wee bit better lol

I am totally loving that wrap dress, chingu:) And yeah...totally trying hard not to shop for items I don't need especially right now. TBH, though, because I haven't been buying dresses and stuff, I find I'm spending more on art and knitting stuff, which I'd like to justify as a necessity but really...no....sigh....

I am the same, always change my clothes to something presentable even though I'm staying home. I am currently looking for a good pair of Summer shorts but that wrap dress is really pretty!

I agree with you. PJs are for bed. I don't dress up every day, but sometimes I like to make an effort. Wearing something smart can be motivating.

That wrap dress is lovely! I've been sticking with tees and denim when I dress up, but most of the time it's pyjamas or loungewear here, haha! Still adjusting to isolation at home with a 4 and 5 year old while also trying to work from home!

I have that foam roller too, or one incredibly similar, I use it for helping with my knee, the physio taught me a few exercises and it really helps manage the pain :)

Hope that you are having a good week :)

I love those slides, they are so pretty and would make for a nice reminder of sunnier days to come when this pandemic comes to an end (hopefully before summer is over on your end). I also love the idea of starting up a herb garden. There really is no better time, and it could be one less item you need from the supermarket too.
