Food For Thought

Snow Flower, April Snow

“Rivers do not drink their own water; trees do not eat their own fruit; the sun does not shine on itself and flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves.  Living for others is a rule of nature. We are all born to help each other. No matter how difficult it is… Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.”

These uplifting words from Pope Francis really hit home for me during this difficult time and I'm sharing them in the hopes that they will do the same for you. We all need to do our part now because all actions have consequences. I took this photo two years ago when it snowed in April. Such an odd yet sublime sight. At the time I thought this was the craziest thing I'd seen in an April but what's happening now in the world completely blows that out of the water.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and encouragement on my last post. I'm doing better and am a little more functional now. Dull pain feels like nothing after over a week of constant stabbing pain that had my arm feeling like it was simultaneously on fire and numb. More on how I figured out what was wrong and the steps I took to correct it  next time.

I remember this photograph and when it snowed in April. That is a beautiful quote. I don't particularly like pope Francis if I can be honest, but that quote sums up the need to share and maintain meaningful relationships so nicely.

That is a great and inspiring quote indeed. Sorry I had forgot to mention about your pinched nerve in your last post. Glad to hear you've managed to pin point the root of the pain, or gotten a relatively great guess. It must be so liberating to find a way to manage this. I hope you'll be able to find long term relief or even better a cure/solution.
