Ji Chang Wooks's latest drama If You Wish Upon Me recently started airing so that means we are also treated to photoshoots and interviews as he promotes the project like this appearance in #Legend. Clad in fashions and jewelry from Italian luxury brands Tod's and Buccellati, Chang Wook looks every bit the handsome heartthrob who is ready for fall.
In the accompanying interview, the 35 year old actor opens up about his current role as a broken man with a tragic past that includes escaping an abusive father that leads to stints in juvenile detention and prison. The character doesn't have much of a will to live as he is released from prison into a community service program at a hospice that helps fulfill the last wishes of terminally ill patients.. This journey will ultimately change his outlook on his life and it's meaning. We haven't started this one yet since we're not ready for something heavy after recently watching Our Blues and My Liberation Notes. Even though it is meant to be heartwarming and show the good in humanity, it will probably also be emotionally draining since it centers around death. It does appear promising based on the trailers and clips I've seen. Chang Wook mentioned that he chose this role because of how different it is to himself and he hopes that the message of the drama can encourage those who are feeling hopeless and helpless. He could've easily coasted on action and romantic comedy roles for which he is best known but it's admirable how he continues to challenge himself through his work and how he excels.Next up will be the crime drama The Worst Evil. Not much has been disclosed about this new project but his costars will be Wi Ha Joon who is best known for Squid Game and Im Se Mi who is an underrated actress who I'm glad to see getting more work. I'm also looking forward to his appearance in the forthcoming variety show Young Actors Retreat which reunites the casts of Love In The Moonlight, Itaewon Class and The Sound Of Magic.

He truly gets better with age. The last one I saw of his was an old-school K-drama comedy. The Rookie. I do have my eye on this new one. It really looks like a very complicated character. Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Chang Wook's spreads never disappoint, chingu:D Thanks so much for sharing hehe...and it's awesome to see how busy he's been the past few years. Wowza! And as someone who loves crime drama, I'm excited for his next project.
