The one skincare product that I always choose with extra care and am most likely to splurge on is a high quality serum. This is because these are often formulated with proven ingredients to target specific skin concerns. They also typically have a smaller molecular concentration which means they're able to better penetrate skin for improved efficacy and results, making them a pivotal product in an skincare routine. While I have certain serums which are tried and true favorites I always go back to, I also like to try out new ones especially ones which have generated a lot of buzz like the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound.

How To Use
Apply 1 to 2 pumps in the morning and evening, after cleansing. Massage in gently and finish with a moisturizer. If sensitivity or dryness occurs, use every other day. Avoid applying oil-based products beneath the compound. Oil can inhibit compound absorption and cause pilling. Avoid the use of other resurfacing products. Always use sun protection.
My Experience
Clear with a golden yellow hue, this serum has a lightweight, viscous gel-like texture and no discernible scent. Despite a slight tacky feel initially, it does absorb well with an almost matte finish that doesn't feel drying. I apply moisturizer over it without any issues. Even though this can be used morning and night, my usage has been in the evenings since I prefer a vitamin C serum during the day. My skin adapted to it fairly quickly and even though I didn't see any visible brightening immediately, I could count on waking up to soft, smooth and clear skin without and irritation or redness after I integrated this treatment into my routine. After about two weeks, I started seeing some brightening and after a month, my skin has definitely gotten more even toned and radiant.

As someone who has tried a number of retinol products as well as prescription tretinoin, I'm impressed with U Beauty Resurfacing Compound for how it is formulated with a combination of potent active ingredients that deliver results without the purging, dryness and irritation that sometimes comes along with many of these types of products. I wish it were packaged in a glass bottle for sustainability and it's a little on the pricey side. I think it's a worthwhile splurge if you have the means because it is a unique game changing product and there isn't really anything comparable out there. I also think it's worthwhile because you can totally get away with using just this treatment and a moisturizer. U Beauty Resurfacing Compound comes in 3 sizes starting at 15 ml / 0.5 oz for $88 which is a good way to try it out.
Have you tried U Beauty Resurfacing Compound? Do you have a favorite resurfacing product?
