When Hard Choices Make Life Easier

Hard choices for an easy life, When Hard Choices Make Life Easier, Taking Ownership Of Your Health, Ways To Invest In Your Health,

I've talked about all the ways I invest in my health on here and it's something I continue to dedicate myself to because the payoff is worth it to me. Even when it it's not fun and requires putting in work, taking care of your health is always a good investment because good health ultimately makes your life easier. And your actions are ultimately what defines your health. Our actions have a direct correlation on our health. People don't just randomly develop health issues for no reason and that's why I take ownership of mine.

I'm often told that I'm not living well because I insist on working out every day and I pass on junk food. But this is precisely what keeps me living well and full of energy because I'm avoiding pain and inflammation. Every workout and every healthy meal is a small deposit into your future well-being. Exercise is harder but being unfit is harder. Being fit makes daily life easier, more enjoyable, and less draining. I'm very proud of the fact that I actually have the ability to work out at a high level now and this motivates me want to do it even more because it feels really good. Okay maybe not always during the workouts but definitely afterwards. I've never regretted a workout and a workout isn't a reason to eat wrong. I look at food as nourishment and fuel, not an emotional escape. And yes I do have a burger or fried chicken occasionally but that is not my norm. And eating healthy can also be delicious especially when you consider that everything you consume will show up on your face and body.

Self care in its purest form requires a disciplined commitment to your well-being. It's about eating nourishing food that doesn't cause inflammation, mindful movement, restorative rest and avoiding things that can harm your health like sugar, alcohol and immune system disregulating viruses. It's about taking as much care of your body as it does for you. Real self care is uncomfortable. It's discipline that looks like love. Once your health is gone, it can be impossible to recover. That is why I am doing everything in my power not to lose mine again. Just remember that small habits today can make a big difference tomorrow.
