Most of my friends don't wear watches these days and instead rely on their phones for the time. I almost always wear one because I feel like something's missing whenever I leave the house without a watch. I have a few watches and I consider them fashion accessories.
Most of my other watches are stainless steel so I was excited about having one hand crafted of 100% natural wood. Aside from the uniqueness, the best part is that it's both substantial and exceptionally lightweight at the same time. Like so light that I don't even feel it on my wrist at times. It's also impressively well made. This model features Seiko Quartz Chronograph Stopwatch Movement and a deployment buckle with push button that is similar to some of my "fancier" watches. All of their watches are also designed to be splash and scratch-proof.
JORD (pronounced "yod") is a Swedish word meaning “earth, soil, or land”. The company was founded in 2013 by two brothers in St. Louis, Missouri with a mission to bring the highest quality wood timepieces to the world. They offer a range of fashionable styles in a variety of all natural and sustainable woods for men and women. All of their products are handcrafted in the USA and backed with a twelve month warranty. Prices start at $129 and go up to $275 and the company ships worldwide. And they will also size your watch to your specifications free of charge so that it's ready to wear as soon as you get it. I have small bony wrists and have to get all my link style watches resized so I think this is a really useful and timesaving service. The JORD Sidney retails for $199. Visit JORD's website here to see their entire line of wood watches.
