3B Beauty Box Giveaway & Unboxing

Beauty Giveaway, The 3B Box, 3B Beauty Box, 3B Beauty, Beauty Beyond Borders, Asian Beauty Box, Korean Beauty, Korean Skincare, Korean Beauty Box

The 3B Box has made some changes since my last unboxing post. The service has unveiled an online shop where people can now purchase full size versions of the samples in their monthly 3B Box along with a selection of limited edition boxes. They also made some price changes as of last month. The monthly price has gone up from $12 to $15 for new members. There are now 6 and 12 month subscription plans at $84 ($14/month) and $144 ($12/month) respectively. All subscription boxes will continue to ship for free. The old pricing has been grandfathered in for existing subscription members and the company has made a guarantee not to make any plan or service changes for two years.

3B which stands for Beauty Beyond Borders is a monthly beauty subscription box that curates some of the best skincare products from Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Each box contains 4 - 5 deluxe samples. I would say that 3B is like an Asian beauty version of Birchbox or Ipsy. 3B is currently a US based subscription service. This box is ideal for anyone interested in trying out Asian beauty products or can't access them easily.  As of right now, they only ship to the US. Learn more about the 3B Box subscription.

Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream
This lightweight facial cream contains a 80% snail mucin filtrate to heal skin, boosting it's elasticity level, leaving it smoother and hydrated longer. Skin-fortifying ingredients including rosemary, chamomile and tea tree extracts soften the skin and keep it healthy Apply after cleansing, toning and emulsion. Oily skin types can skip the emulsion and just use the cream.

First things first, the snail shaped packaging is too cute! I've seen this product around and it's one that I've wanted to try so I was quite pleased to see it included here. I have a soft spot for snail products because they've generally worked well for my skin. I hope this one will too.

Etude House Honey Cera Toner
The Honey Cera range uses honey extract, royal jelly extract and ceramides to intensively nourish skin. This toner works to remove cleanser residue while restoring the skin's pH levels and prepping it for other skin care products. To use, apply on a cotton pad and wipe across skin or dispense onto hands and pat onto your face.

Etude House Honey Cera Emulsion
Emulsions are lightweight moisturizers that usually have a milky texture. They can be layered under a moisturizer or cream for an boost of hydration which is especially welcome during the winter months when skin is at it's driest. This nourishing and firming emulsion provides rich nutrition and strengthens the skin’s oil-moisture balance. To use, gently warm up the product between your fingertips and and pat onto skin.

I received the Etude House Honey Cera Cream and  Honey Cera Eye Serum in the September box and I haven't tried them out yet. I think I'll try to use all four of these products together to see if I can boost the moisturizing effects of the honey.

Hada Labo Tokyo Anti-Aging Hydrator
A lightweight, fast-absorbing essence that deeply penetrates to boost vital skin hydration levels, while a Retinol Complex and Collagen helps to increase skin firmness and elasticity while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This essence can be used after cleansing and toning and followed with a serum and cream.

I've tried a a few Hada Labo products in the past which I liked. I think this is a good brand with solid products so we'll see how this fares.

Manyo Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam
A creamy skin freshening cleansing foam with natural herbs that work to gently yet effectively cleanse to remove oil, makeup, and impurities, leaving skin soft and balanced. A multi-function product that combines a peeling, mask and acne treatment. This cruelty-free product is also free of mineral oil, synthetic preservatives, dyes, and fragrances.

I won't be using this one since my skin is dry but it may work for my husband who actually does have oily skin. A few web reviews that i read for this product generally sound positive.

Overall this was a pretty good box even though there was a bit of redundancy with the products and ttthI like the new white pouch better than the purple one. I'm most excited about the Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream and least excited about the Manyo Factory Deep Pore Cleansing Soda Foam since it's totally unsuitable for my skin type. I hope we won't be seeing any more Etude House Honey Cera products since the September box already included two Honey Cera products. I would actually be ok with less Etude House products in general.  I'm going to reevaluate this box at the end of the year to decide if I will be continuing the subscription. I honestly think it better serves someone who is more of a beginner to Asian beauty than someone like myself who is has been on it for awhile.

The 3B Box actually sent me two boxes this month so I will be giving the extra one away to one lucky rolala loves reader. This is an international giveaway. You can enter through this link or the Rafflecopter widget below. The widget can be a little temperamental so if it doesn't load on this page, just CLICK THROUGH HERE  for it! Good luck!

What do you think of these products? Is there one you'd be interested to try?

Hada Labo Tokyo Anti-Aging Hydrator is something I would love to try out (never tried the brand before & my skin is dry so hydratating products are always welcome).
I wish this kind of boxes would sell internationally (not expensive but you get to try out different brands all the time)

The packaging on that snail cream is everything:D And the Etude House products do sound good, but yeah...why so many from the line? And that's pretty cool that the site now sells full-sized products. Now, if they only would ship worldwide...
Anyhoo, Happy Monday!

PS Are you gonna watch Goblin? And I heard The Legacy Of The Blue Sea is already showing?!?! I know you don't like Lee Min Ho that much, but are you gonna give it a go? :D

I remember your previous 3D beauty box post, I think your blog is probably the first place where I heard about it. In meantime, I heard some other bloggers praise this subscription. The price going up won't make new customers happy, but it is not a significant increase so it probably won't put anyone away. It is good that the company is not raising the price for those who are already subscribers, that shows they are willing to keep a deal.

I see that there are a lot of interesting products in this one. Honey Cera Tonic seems so perfect, I love products that contains honey in any shape or form. Honey Cera Emulsion also sounds lovely. I think you're right in your plan to try these products together, it makes sense to use them that way. Let us know about your experience with them. Based on the ingredients, they seem promising.

I was always curious about snail products, but haven't tried any yet. It is good to know that you had good experience with them, it encourages me to give them a try...I hope that this snail cream works well for your skin.

What a lovely box! Even though the price did rise, it seems like it's worth it since you get a decent amount of products! I subbed to WIN beauty kit last month and I think I agree with you. Asian beauty boxes are more worthwhile to someone who is newer to asian beauty since a lot of the value seems to be put into the curation of the products. If you already know what specific brands and products you like, the bags aren't as fun. Thanks for hosting the giveaway :)

I'd so love to try the Ladykin Affinitic Snail Cream! I keep hearing and reading so many great things about it. I only recently started following #ABCommunity and asian skin care. Actually I've used a few masks before, not realizing there was such a huge asian beauty niche. In any case, thanks for the opportunity!
