Closet Confidential : Sweaters

While NYC has been basking in some gorgeous Spring-like temperatures lately and the real thing is just over a week away, I think I can probably cycle out the sweaters from my closet soon. I wish my closet was big enough that I didn't have to switch it out seasonally but such is the nature of living in a one bedroom apt. in the city. Since I don't like to wear many layers in the winter, I rely on cashmere and merino wool sweaters to get me through the coldest season and the bright colors keep me happy. What items get you through the winter?

I don't know how often I'll be posting this week given that I've been quite sick and somewhat bedridden since the weekend. My condition has rendered me very dizzy and nauseous so my computer time is limited to short intervals. I'll try to make my way around to visit and catch up with everyone eventually.

Those are such cute sweaters. I'm afraid mine are not quite as colorful. I usually wear like 6 layers because I'm worried I'll be hot or cold and then I wind up carrying 4 of the layers if I'm out and about so another system is probably in order.

I had to look Lee Seung Gi up {I'm terrible with names} and I've seen both of the dramas he is in at least on Drama Fever. He is very cute but he always looks like he's 18 so it's little brother cute. :) I will keep an eye out in case that one comes up.

I really hope you better soon! Being sick is no fun.

I love the bright colored sweaters. You've definitely inspired me to branch out a little more. You poor thing! After having had the entire family gone through several bouts of flu, I know exactly how you must be feeling. Hope you feel better soon.

Your sweaters look fab by the way, and the color coordination? I wish I could do that!

I know what you mean. I left my summer clothes at my parents house, so now I have to do the exchange (such is life when storage space is limited).

So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon.

I love how you colour coded your sweaters! I'm super picky when it comes to sweaters, I'm really ticklish and the wrong kind of wool could have me itching all day lol. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh no! Feel better soon, sweetie! That's horrible news. And you're not even able to enjoy this gorgeous weather. I'm sad for you.

I'm with you...I so wish that I didn't have to do the seasonal closet switch. But I guess that's NYC living for you. :)

Feel better! xoxo

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well! I hope you feel much better soon--I came down with a bug last week but luckily am ok now. Love all your sweaters, Normally I'm a cashmere girl, but I have moved to Wildfox sweatshirts lately on a whim. This weird pre-summer late winter weather we're having has made it impossible to dress one way or the other and a sweatshirt sort of straddles both climates that seem to change daily here.

Feel better!

I hope you feel better soon so you can start walking the streets of NY in your spring/summer outfits. Turtlenecks and shawls help me survive winter.

Are those your sweaters in the pic? Love the bright colours! I always rely on my grey cashmere cardigan that envelopes me like a warm fog and feel sad that I have to put it away.

Feel better soon! xx

I hope you are feeling better! We've had a lot of ill people at the office this week, one Mom had a baby at home with strep throat. You've got a fab collection of sweaters and I know the feeling of limited closet space!

Oh no!! Feel better soon! Your sweaters look so lovely. Big bulky "ugly sweaters" get me through the winter. I am so glad to shed the layers.

Is it inside of your closet? You have such a great collection of sweaters! It happened exactly same thing when I got sick about a month ago. I couldn't look at monitor more than like ten minutes.. Hope you feel better soon..! xo akiko

I really love scarves in the winter! I have a lot of sweaters, but in NC the need for heavy stuff isn't always necessary. I do have 4 (brown, black, green and blue) wonderful lady day coats by J. Crew and those also make me oh so happy! So sorry to hear you are sick! It's that time of year with the cold-to-warm-to-cold-to-warm over and over again... Feel better!!! xoxo A-

There are many winter clothes I love and I'm fool for long cosy coats! But my favorite thing, and one I almost only wear out for a walk or at home, are the oversize sweaters with a hood, like the ones from GAP. Can't do without them x)
