Favorites : Blushes

I don't usually tend to wear much makeup and on most days, I can get by with some mascara and abit of blush. While I may only have one particular favorite mascara I have more than one favorite blush. Do you wear blush? What are some of your favorites?

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed This nude mauve color is incredibly flattering and mimics the look of a healthy glow for me. It's my go to blush when I'm feeling lazy since it's virtually foolproof, blends well and wears like a dream.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Amused
I like this vivid pink color whenever I feel like my face needs a pick me up. It has a matte finish without being drying. This one is especially pretty in the summer and does a good job of withstanding hot weather and humidity.

bareMinerals Blush in Flowers
I use this when I want a darker flush. The reddish pink color is gorgeous and perfect for creating weathered cheeks.

NARS Blush in Sin
A cool berry shade with a subtle hint of gold shimmer and a favorite during the cooler months. Because it's highly pigmented, a little goes a long way for an amazing color payoff.

Bobbi Brown Blush in Pretty Pink
This is a vibrant baby pink that is really aptly named. Goes on sheer but can be layered for more drama.

Becca Cream Blush in Turkish Rose

The soft rosy nude color imparts a lovely luminous glow. I prefer cream blush in the winter. The formulation has a fantastic smooth texture, and wear.

Becca Cream Blush in Wild Orchid
A cool toned violet pink shade that is a great face brightener. I use this on my lips sometimes too.

Becca Beach Tint in Fig

This tea rose beige color works really well for that no makeup look as it creates a natural looking radiant sheen. It has a water resistant gel like consistency that's easily blendable and long wearing. Also pulls double duty as a neutral lip stain.

Thanks for the comment on my blog, wow didn't realize I was THAT spot on. Ah blush, I used it in high school but haven't since as being of Irish descent and having been blessed with a natural blush I do not really need it. But it always looks so fun! Yes you are RIGHT about New York, holy crap my allergies and asthma are giving me uber grief!!

Love your picks.i used to use Becca make up in the past, too. For a super lovely peachy pink shade, try one of the RMS beauty products. They are natural, organic and very pretty. x

I love blush! Although with my current skin condition it doesn't show up as nicely :( Pretty Pink looks really pretty LOL Definitely a color I'm considering if I buy blush from bobbi brown now :]

Love these! I have always struggled to use blushes though. It's probably because I don't know how to put them on - sigh. Another thing to learn this year :)

I use the same blush since I started wearing make up... I used to borrow my mum's chanel make up and then magically transferring it to my make up drawer!! Since then (over 17 yrs ago) I haven't changed blush brand but I really should try something new in the blush department :)
Thanks for sharing these!

Glad that you posted, as I'm in the market for a new blush (and yes, I use one all the time and feel "undone" without it). I normally just pick up one from Clinique, as that's the makeup base I use, but I think I'll do a little color shopping this time and this post is perfect inspiration and I need to make notes ;) Have a wonderful weekend, Rowena! xo ~S

I love blush, but I swear it is the HARDEST kind of makeup for me to apply! I don't know exactly where it's supposed to go and it always looks a little splotchy and often too much. But I love it anyway. :) I have been using Nars Amour, but I have heard from dozens of people that Nars Orgasm is the favorite and it works on tons of complexions. Just looking at this collection you've rounded up I really like the Bobbi Brown Pretty Pink and the Tarte Amused. I love a good pink!

I have been thinking about trying blush out lately. I'm terrible with makeup so I usually just use concealer {on the huge black circles I have under my eyes} and mascara, but I am so pale I think I sometimes look unhealthy. I'll have to try things out. I've heard good things about Nars and I think Tarte is pretty natural so I might see what I can find that looks natural on me.

I hope you have a great weekend!

These are beautiful blushes! You can have more than one favourite blush because there is a different shade for your mood and for when you are going out :) I really want to give NARS blushes a go!

these look amazing!!! i don't know quite how to wear blush well, but i am loving the mauve one. happy weekend, lovely lady!

those are very nice choices! i have too many impurities on my skin, so i always think that blush would make them even more obvious, so i barely use blush, although i find it so flattering and pretty >__< really would love to give nars blushes a go!

I love all the pretty colours, I'm a big fan of Bobbi Brown, I would imagine Nars is of similar quality too. I think we all need a bit of something sugary and sweet in colour for Spring!

I swear I heard a rumour about Stylist going stateside! Anyhoos, have a fab weekend!

Those are so many blushes. I've been using the same drugstore brand blush for the longest time ever and this is my 3rd purchase. It's SilkyGirl. Not too sure if you have it over there. It used to be called Wild & Wet in my country and I realised that America still has Wild & Wet.

The only favorite I have in the makeup department is a nude lip gloss from MAC. I keep telling myself I need to commit to a simple routine...than you for this post because it is putting makeup back on my priority list!

I'm so sad we don't have Tarte in Ireland! I love a good blush xo

Jillian said...

I've heard great things about Tarte's Amazonian Clay. The salesgirl at Sephora told me it was one of her favorites because it lasted for hours. Can't wait to try it!

Blush in general is the one thing I cannot do without. It makes us look younger, I think. I love all these suggestions. I generally use blushes from MAC and Estee Lauder....once I finish those, I will definitely try one of these.

Wishing you a lovely weekend sweetie!

Blush and mascara are my indispensable essentials as well, without them I look like a sick 15-year old :) I have a pretty pink shade from Chanel that I truly love, and I'm also partial to Make Up Forever cream HD blushes. But I'm planning to give the Tarte brand a try, I've only been hearing rave reviews. Thanks for the tip, sweetie!

Becca is not a brand I usually see on the blogosphere, but the shades for the cream blushes look gorgeous! Definitely also adding the cheek tint to my 'to-try' list! -scrambles off to do research on the brand since I see them on Sephora all the time-
