Style Crush : Song Hye Kyo

Song Hye Kyo is a top star who is known to shun the spotlight and doesn't appear on many red carpets so it's always a treat when she is spotted at an event. The beautiful actress who just came off a highly successful run with her drama That Winter, The Wind Blows was in Shanghai recently for the opening of The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited exhibit in which she was one of the models. Staying true to her elegant and understated style, she wore a Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2013 black tweed dress with contrasting white framed shoulders and a gently belled hem. I really like how the dress has both an architectural and feminine feel and the vibrant floral print python Jimmy Choo Lola platform peep toe pumps she paired it with lends a fun touch. Her soft and romantic hair and makeup finished off the look perfectly. Hye Kyo's next project finds her starring opposite Takeshi Kaneshiro and Huang Xiao Ming in John Woo's The Crossing which has been touted as a historical romantic epic. That will be a seriously good looking love triangle! What do you think of this look?

I wrote about the Little Black Jacket exhibit which I visited when it made a stop in NYC last summer. Song Hye Kyo's rollerskating photo was one of my favorites. Below is a behind the scenes image with Karl Lagerfeld.

Hi Rowena! She's just lovely (looks a bit like Rena!). Makes me want to run out an buy another little black jacket to add to my closet ;) ... hope you're enjoying the summer, sweet. It's been crazy busy this last week doing things around the house getting ready for family and friends to come to my house for the fourth. There is a parade on the fourth that goes right by my house, so I hold a "porch party." This year I continued it to include a backyard picnic by the water and it was a lot of fun. By the end of the fireworks display we all attended at the end of the day, I was ready to put my feet up for a couple days! Hope your new week is wonderful! xo ~S

That's a really pretty dress. I like how the tweed makes it feel a bit less formal than it could be.

I decided to go through the queue I have saved and work through all those dramas. 1st up, Insoon is Pretty. It seems depressing so far.

How I wish this exhibition came to SA, its something I would so love to have seen. She is so exquisite and poised. I just last week saw this tweed Chanel look on another starlet at Paris Couture fashion week, but she didn't look as half as good as Song Hye Kyo. Thanks for your kind comment sweety, have an awesome day!
