Gift Guide : Gifts Under $30

Gift Guide
I've never been one to believe that a good gift is about how much money you spend. I do think the thought really does count and it's nice to actually give something to someone that they'll put to use so I tend to be on the practical side when selecting gifts. What's your gift giving style? Would you like to see any of these picks in your Christmas stocking?

I couldn't agree more. I also believe it's the thought that counts and some times the smallest most inexpensive gift really brings a smile to someones face. By the way, that mug is lovely.

This is wonderful doll. I don't think gifts have to be expensive for them to be great, as long as they come from the heart, they could be handmade and still be amazing. I will most definitely take the bunny there from the top :))) Marvellous selection. Have a beautiful new week xx

Hi Rowena, hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I agree with you, I think what really counts is the thought, which is always appreciated and makes the gift unique. The items you selected are all adorable, the eye mask, the necklace and the mug are my favs. Happy Monday my dear, have a good week ahead! xo

I'm totally with you that gifts needn't be expensive as long as they come from the heart. These products you share here look wonderful. I had such a hard time hunting for gifts $20-$30 here. I like the eye mask and I wouldn't mind receiving an eyemask for xmas.

Thank you for sharing.

I recently saw this plate and was about to get it, and I don't know why I never did. I love the bunny to put the rings, that's a perfect idea.

I like that red thingy.
I also tend to buy something more on the practical side. I think the problem with gifts is that most of us tend to pick something that WE like rather than the person who we are buying a present for. I have given so many gifts that were simply not suited for the person who I gave them to. I would have loved to have the item myself. Now that I am older I tend to figure out what THEY would like rather what I think is cool. I have been receiving gifts that I did not want either all the time, especially from my best friend. She kept giving me books and I hated getting books as presents, I even told her, but next time I still received a book. I know she would have enjoyed having those books herself. LOL

Hi Rowena!!!

I hope you had a great holiday as well! I agree with you that a bit of color really makes a difference. I worked in a design office once that was all neutrals and we finally talked the owner into a tiny bit of color but it was hard. Was the thought at Scalamandre that the color would come from the fabrics in the showrooms? I agree that in most of them if you take the fabrics and furniture away there is a whole lot of beige. It's too bad the offices were the same. :(

I love the gifts you have chosen, especially the elephants. I agree that it is the thought, not the price that makes a gift great.

Hi Rowena darling! How are you these days? I've been a rather bad blogging buddy, as I've been so busy illustrating and slow to come back and visit my friends after I took the summer off from blogging. Can't wait to catch up with you and read what's happening in your world. Love your holiday list ... such cute items. Love the fortune cookie! xo ~S
