Through My Lens : Recently

Autumn in New York City

I just realized that I didn't do one of these posts last month but since I shared our island vacation photos instead, it was kind of like I did. Anyway, here are are some photos of life recently. It's starting to look like fall in NYC these days and this is one of the most beautiful times of the year in the city.

Indian Summer in NYC
Like this past summer, our autumn has been relatively mild so far and we've been lucky to get some visits from Indian Summer.
We swung by the Whitney Museum to see the space one last time before it closes and moves to Chelsea and also checked out the Jeff Koons retrospective which just finished it's run.
Lady M New York
A trip uptown usually means a stop at Lady M Cake Boutique.
We picked up a slice of their famous chocolate mille crȇpes cake to go.
Shake Shack New York
Lunch at Shake Shack. Hubster and I actually like their fresh cut fries but we must be in the minority since the crinkle cut fries will be making a return.
Zengo NYC
Charred tuna wonton tacos at Zengo. Tasty if a little difficult to eat.
NYC Dimsum
Gigantic soup dumpling at dimsum at Delight 28. It was sadly rather bland.
NYC Dimsum
The sticky rice steamed in bamboo leaves was much better.
Cute sign outside Harney & Sons in Soho.
Autumn in NYC
A peaceful autumn day in Tribeca.

I haven't had the chance to try the Lady M cakes yet, but everyone seems to rave about it recently. Makes me want to try now :P

NYC in fall must be amazing, I wish I was there right now!:) Love this kind of posts from you Rowena as your snaps are always interesting. Those fresh cut fries made me so hungry and is only morning here!:) Also I like the fun sign and the peaceful last pic. Have a wonderful week my dear, hugs! xo

I like this set of photos. :)
I've been to New York four times now, and I STILL haven't eaten at Shake Shack. What is wrong with me!? I feel like I am missing out terribly.
The Jeff Koons retrospective at the Whitney must've been pretty cool. I saw his exhibit at the Met a few years ago when it was on the rooftop, but I would've loved to have seen it at the Whitney.

The photos look great, especially the autumn leaves, which is why I love this time of year. Beautiful colouring. That's too bad about the dimsum. :) Enjoy the new week! x

Just beautiful photos, Rowena:)

PS I'd eat those tuna tacos, even if they're a tad difficult to eat:D

Oh my! Rowena, the charred tuna wonton looks delicious! Yeah, the dumpling and sticky rice don't seem that interesting...

but NYC seems getting really interesting heading into fall now! So nice that you get four seasons there! Wish we could experience it all here, but guess will just have to make do with sunny days and heavy occasional down pours these days *_^

Have a great week ahead, my friend!

Yummy food, I need to eat it all ;))) And I love the leaves, so wonderful, it's my favourite thing about fall time, the leaves changing so many different colours. I hope you have a marvellous week doll xx

Oh, the last photo is so beautiful! Seems that autumn really has arrived there. We've been lucky here and enjoying a great sunny weather these days. The sad fact for me is that they are getting cooler soon... Those burgers on the photo above look so delicious! Mm!

"OOlong," HA! I'm starving now after these photos. It's been too long since I've had dim sum (thinking of your dumpling). It's also been so long since I've taken photos!!!! Love these.

Why can't I be in NYC right now. I would love to experience the Indian Summer myself. Everything looks marvelous. I was already hungry but now I'm starving. I need these burgers and the fresh cut fries. We don't have something like that over here and I think I have to make them on my own. Have a wonderful Monday Rowena!!
