Probiotics For Health

Probiotic Supplement

Probiotics are known as the "good bacteria" for a valid reason and they are essential to the health of your skin as well as your digestive system and immune system. These live microorganisms aid in digestion, improve colon health and can even reduce the severity of illnesses like the cold and flu. A plentiful amount of probiotics in your body will help to suppress the growth of harmful bacteria.

Most people commonly associate probiotics with yogurt and you should look for ones that contain live and active cultures. There are also some dairy free yogurts that contain added probiotics made from coconut milk, rice or soy. Whatever you choose, just make sure it has no added sugar or low sugar. Fermented foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, pickles and miso are also rich in probiotics. Other sources include kefir, kombucha, tempeh and microalgae.

Probiotic Supplement, Zenwise Labs Super Strength Ultra-15

Probiotics are also available in supplement form and my husband and I started taking them last year after we'd read about their benefits and asked our doctor about them. Since taking them we both experienced positive results. They helped me with my allergies and my husband with his skin and overall we both felt we had less digestive issues. I recently switched up my usual probiotic supplement to try out Zenwise Labs Super Strength Ultra-15 Probiotics. Their natural proprietary blend is formulated with 10 strains of natural probiotics along with 15 million CFU (colony forming units) of viable bacteria to ensure optimal digestive health. They're shelf stable so they don't require refrigeration. The tablets themselves are the size of a vitamin and they're easy to swallow. I've been taking one first thing in the morning in place of my usual supplement and it's been a seamless transition without any side effects.

Zenwise Labs Super Strength Ultra-15 Probiotics come in a supply day supply and are available through Amazon.

Yes, I know the benefits of probiotics but as you said, I always associated them with yogurt, I never tried any supplement form. But reading your hubby and yours experience made me start to change my mind. The product you tried seems good and definitely would like to try it as well as any other supplement. Have a beautiful weekend dear Rowena, many kisses! xo

I've heard good things about probiotics, so I've been trying to sneak plain yogurts into my foods. I don't like the taste but I pretend it's sour cream.

i have only taken them in food, like yogurt, like you mentioned. but the supplements sound interesting.

Happy Friday, Rowena! No, I have never taken probiotic supplements, but to be honest, they are not very familiar to me. This was an informative post, so thank you! Sour yogurt is very popular in my country and I eat lots of it. Hope that this supplies probiotics to my organism at least. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! xo

I take probiotics in pills as well...but I'm not sure about the name. I got them from my family doctor. In addition, every day I drink bioaktiv yogurt (Croatian brand) that is also a probiotic.

I am now a firm believer in probiotic and it will be permanently added into my morning routine. It made a huge differences for me when I was on it. Great review, Rowena and my hubby would be thrilled to bits to know that pickles are rich in probiotics! He love those darn stuff while I hate it. LOL!

Have a great weekend my friend!

I don't take any probiotics. The only supplement I take daily are multivitamin pills. I try to avoid any pill dependencies as much as I can to the point where I only take medicine when I absolutely have no other choice left anymore :)

I take Jarrodophilus and Acidophilus and they prevent my stomach from being torn up from all the antibiotics I take. There aren't enough probiotics in yogurt to help me, really, unless I was just to eat yogurt on top of yogurt, so taking just a small pill or two a day is essential.

I recently started taking pro biotic supplements. I notice a difference for sure.

I used to take a probiotic pill, but now just use a multivitamin, since I have other medicine to take and know that I can get the nutrients from the foods that I eat. Great post! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. <3 Enjoy the weekend Rowena.
