Derma E Evenly Radiant Brightening Serum

 Brightening Serum, Natural Skincare

I usually have at least a few serums in rotation at any time in my skincare routine because I truly believe they're the best when it comes to tackling specific skin concerns. My skin concerns probably vary based on the time of year but one ongoing battle I'm always fighting is fading the freckles on my cheeks and keeping new ones from forming so I'm always on the lookout for brightening products that address this concern. Recently I started using this derma e Evenly Radiant Brightening Serum.

About the Brand:derma e is a family owned and operated company of 30 years that has pioneered the development of vitamin-rich, high performance antioxidant skincare solutions. Their award winning line features a number of doctor developed, clinically tested products that are formulated without parabens, phthaltes, sulfates, lanolin, mineral oil and petrolatum. derma e products are also cruelty-free, gluten-free, GMO-free and 100% vegan

Product Claims: An intensive skin brightening treatment that targets uneven pigmentation and age damage for a visibly brighter complexion.

Key Ingredients: Madonna Lily Plant Stem Cells, Bearberry, Niacinamide, Licorice, Green Tea and C-Ester and illuminating Alpha-Arbutin.

Packaging: A lightweight, recyclable plastic bottle with a pump dispenser.

Price: $29.95 for 2 fl.oz/ 60 ml.

Brightening Serum, Natural Skincare

My Thoughts: The serum is clear with a thick gel-like texture and no discernible scent. It has a nice feel as it goes on and dries to a smooth satin finish. I was able to integrate it into my skincare regimen without any irritation or inflammation to my sensitive skin. However this product is formulated for normal to oily skin and it's been fine for summer but I doubt I could use it during the winter months when my skin becomes drier as sometimes even now I have to add a little extra moisturizer when applying my cushion compact when using this serum. A few of the ingredients like niacinamide, licorice root extract, vitamin C and arbutin caught my interest since they are proven skin brighteners. After a few weeks of using this serum my skin does appear more even in tone and brighter. If there were a more hydrating version of this serum, I'd be all over it since it's a a good natural product, well priced and has delivered on the brightening.

derma e Evenly Radiant Brightening Serum is available through the brand's website
and major retailers like Amazon, Birchbox and Drugstore.com. It's actually on sale for $19.49 at Amazon!

This product sounds interesting. I usually like to use serums that are a but more moisturizing and that are formulated for dry skin so not sure this would be the best serum for my skin.

I usually don't rotate serums, and I probably should! And I haven't heard of this brand before, Rowena, so TY for the heads up:)

Sounds like a good product to try for those who have skin type like you have.
Was wondering if it'll work fine with sensitive skins, too

I use serums as well and I'd buy this one first because it's affordable, and 2nd because it has a pump dispenser. It's good that you are happy with this product, thanks for sharing with us, Rowena! Have a nice day! xo

I am dry skin so I'm not sure if my skin will love this but I do like the brightening effect and another bonus is the reasonable price. Am I the only one whose skin gets drier with age? I swore I was combination in my 20s and now I bounce between dry and very dry. :-(

I do not use a serum as part of my skincare routine. Should I be? I am so hopeless when it comes to beauty products.

I have so many skin concerns, I wouldn't know where to start! I have to use some medication that makes my skin react badly to sun but at the same time it is so hard to avoid sun where I live, because every day is a sunny day. My skin has really been acting out lately and I'm not sure should I call it dry, combination or oil...the definition changes every day.

This serum sounds lovely, I think it is great that it is gentle to the skin, but I would actually like my face to be a bit darker. You're right about this serum perhaps not working so well in the Winter....our skin needs special care during cold times.

Ahhh, I'd want the more moisturising version, too :(

Sounds like a nice product! I have trouble finding serums that work all year round, too. Winter can be brutal on the skin.

A serum that encouraging skin tone to become more even sounds ideal, especially as my skin is less so around my nose at the moment. I love how bright/fresh your photography consistently is by the way Rowena :)

My concern is manterner my skin hydrated and control lines, currently use a serum that leaves me satisfied with the results, because there are days when the skin of my face is tired, and the next morning I feel renewed and refreshed ! This product is interesting and the price seems accessible.
