Current Mood

Listening...  to vintage Cantopop and rediscovering my love for the group Swing's music.

Watching...  baseball. The NY Yankees have been both exciting and infuriating at times this season but we're sticking with them until the end.

Eating... Mexican food at home. How did I not realize how simple it as to make quesadillas? Our favorite is kale and black bean with guacamole. To keep it healthy, I use sprouted grain tortillas. It's quite easy to eat vegetarian Mexican style.

Drinking... Kusmi Blue Detox tea. Kusmi BB Detox is my usual go-to but I was intrigued by the Blue Detox on my last shopping trip to Kusmi and I just love it's fruity taste.

Living... it up with our free Amazon Fresh trial. A girl can really get used to ordering groceries online and having them delivered. The prices are actually quite competitive and they carry good quality products. I still have to venture to Chinatown for my Chinese produce and condiments but it's been lovely to not have to make separate trips to shop for our organic and grassfed meat and poultry.

Getting.... out and enjoying NYC while it's still warm. I'm sad to see summer coming to an end but Autumn is one of the prettiest times of the year in the city.

Working... down my beauty stash which was bigger than I thought. I just cracked open a jar of cream that I bought last winter. I haven't purchased new beauty products in the past two months in that effort and that's even with a Sephora gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

Waiting... for my hair to grow. I don't know how I didn't realize just how short my pixie cut was and it feels like it's taking forever to grow back out now. My bangs seem to grow like crazy though and I may have self trimmed them more than a few times in the past month or so.

Making progress... with physical therapy. It's been going well and my ankle has definitely regained strength and stability since I've started. Hopefully I can be back to 100% soon and get to wear all my cute shoes again. I did wear my new boots to NYFW without any pain.

Looking forward to... our upcoming Vegas vacation to celebrate our anniversary. We were actually married in Las Vegas at the Venetian. This is the first time we'll be going back since then. Maybe we'll recreate some of our wedding photos haha.

What's up with you?

You were married in Vegas? Is there a wildly romantic spontaneous story behind that you´d care to share?

A few years about Swing music was all the rage then it disappeared again. I really enjoy listening to swing music and watch people dance to it. I have heard of Kusmi Blue Detox tea, I need to get some from myself. I’m excited that Amazon purchased whole foods. I can’t wait to try it out for myself. I’m waiting for my hair to grow also, lol happy I’m not alone in that. I’m happy to hear you are making progress with physical therapy.

I am kind ready for summer to over, NY can be smelly and oppressive in the summer. Ugh I got a haircut with HORRIBLE bangs paid almost $200 and now I have to wait for it to grow again after not cutting it for 2 years.

I like Amazon Fresh, too! I placed two more orders and really like the quality of fruits. You know I didn't like those big green boxes sitting, but thanks to you I learned that they fold! ;D Glad to hear your PT is going well! Hope to catch up with you over lunch some time soon (or after your vacation).

Happy upcoming anniversary, Rowena and how exciting to revisit the city that you guys got married in! I hope you share some special moments with us. And I am the same, in the midst of cutting down my beauty stash. I have been finishing up products like crazy too and am very proud of it.

I've been thinking of trying the Amazon Fresh subscription, but I was worried prices would be on the higher end. Glad to know it's competitive plus it saves the hassle of driving to the grocery store! :P Wow that's so cool that you got married in Vegas at the Venetian, it's such a stunning hotel!

Rowena! How exciting! I stayed at The Venetian and loved it. Didn't know you were married there! Please document your trip. It's been years since I've been. I love quesadillas! I need to learn how to make them myself. You've given me inspiration. You have me curious about Amazon Fresh! Will look into. Glad your physical therapy is helping.

How do you like Amazon Fresh? I need to check it out. I would love to not have to make multiple trips to get different things I need and have them delivered instead. And I have been wanting to get a pixie haircut lately but have been scared of the growing out phase. I decided to grow out my bangs instead and man.. the process is tortuous. :) and happy anniversary! going back to Vegas sounds lovely!
