New Additions To My Closet

FRAME Denim Le Garcon Jeans, A New Day Ruffle Any Day Pullover, Zara Short Texture Weave Blazer, Dolce Vita Tessie Bootie

I usually do a closet evaluation and cleanout before the start of each new season just to audit my wardrobe to see what still works and what doesn't. I also evaluate fit and whether I need to replace anything that is too worn. I bought four new pieces based on my strategy of building a timeless wardrobe with classic and versatile staples that would integrate with what's already in my closet. I own a good deal of color so I've been adding blacks and neutrals. I'm pretty set with my fall shopping and I'm really happy with my purchases. It just so happened that they work together as an outfit and they're likely going to Las Vegas with me.

1. FRAME Denim Le Garcon Jeans
The slightly relaxed yet tailored fit of these jeans is so flattering. They're made from the most incredibly soft, super stretch denim that feels like a dream to wear and holds it's shape really well. These might be the most comfortable jeans I've ever owned and I want to live in them. I love the ankle skimming length and undone cuffs. The lightly faded dark blue wash is so versatile and easy to dress up or down. I'm contemplating a second pair in a different wash.
Fit: Relaxed / Purchased size 26

2. A New Day Ruffle Any Day Pullover
The ruffles add a fun and feminine touch to this pullover which looks more expensive than it actually is. Target is really killing it with their new brands this fall.
Fit: TTS / Purchased size S

3. Zara Short Texture Weave Blazer
I have a slight obsession with Chanel's Little Black Jacket and have been on a quest for an affordable version for awhile now.  I chanced upon this blazer at Zara and knew I had found the one as soon as I tried it on. The classic details and jewel length sleeves are so timeless. The variety of styling options are going to be fun and  I can see myself wearing this blazer for many years to come.
Fit: TTS / Purchased size S

4. Dolce Vita Tessie Bootie
I live in ankle boots during the fall and really wanted to add a pair in grey. This pair fits the bill for both color and silhouette and they're comfortable to walk in which is a must. This style looks just as cute paired with jeans as it does with dresses.
Fit: TTS / Purchased size 8

Have you purchased anything new for fall?

I still need boots and a coat and then my cashmere sweaters will need replacement one by one, as they are very worn already. Other than that I just shopped some work wear and some denim and am pretty happy with my picks.

I love all these, Rowena:) All classic pieces. Dolce Vita shoes are da bomb, and yay for that pullover. I haven't purchased anything for fall....probably shoes later on. I'm hoping to just sew garments lately instead of buying.

I would completely steal the Zara blazer and Target pullover from your closet! I would love to have a Chanel blazer someday and it's my dream to find it for a steal somewhere in Paris or an estate sale!

Definitely seeing the fall vibe with these great picks. I actually just got a classic black tank from the A New Day collection at Target. Your ruffle pullover is so lovely.

Since I work from home I've found that my need for wardrobe updates is pretty much non-existent, though I'm on the search for a warm coat in a beige or camel shade. I'm a big fan of Target's new brand as well, the ruffled sweater you got is really cute!

I absolutely adore all your purchases Rowena! Those booties are the cutest. I haven't bought any new clothes because my son said that I have too much many, but I'm drooling over some of the Aritzia blouses and trousers.

I think that ruffled pullover top is my favourite along with the booties. I've not bought any new clothing for autumn since I have quite a lot, but I did invest in several pairs of shoes, and cannot wait to wear them soon! A new coat is next on the list. Happy weekend! :-)

Oh! Your Autumn-wardrobe shopping looks as though it's going very well Rowena! Absolutely adoring the ruffle-neckline jumper, as well as the Zara blazer - they always deliver the best outerwear!
