Eye Candy : Sung Hoon For Leon

Sung Hoon, Sung Hoon The Sound of Your Heart, Sung Hoon 2018

There's a K-drama called The Sound of Your Heart that's on Netflix that I've been recommending to people for awhile. It's a comedy based on Korea's longest running webtoon series about the lives of a cartoonist, his family and girlfriend. It's kind of a slice of life but in a way that is so ridiculous and hilariously funny. Lee Kwang Soo of Running Man fame plays the cartoonist and he is comedy gold. The supporting cast is stellar as well. While it was very successful, the series only spanned a limited run of 10 episodes. I was thrilled when a second season was finally announced but a little less so when I learned that a new cast will be taking on the original roles with Sung Hoon replacing Kwang Soo which is a lofty task. I haven't seen Sung Hoon in much except for Oh My Venus. He's s decent actor and obviously very easy on the eyes with leading man good looks.. He seems to do well with chaebol roles and I hope he can let loose and go for it with the physical comedy. Lee Kwang Soo couldn't have been more perfect as Jo Suk and totally embodied the character in an unforgettable way.  Well the source material they're working from is solid so I'm hopeful that the second season will come together for another fun ride. In any case Sung Hoon is ogle-worthy. And he's another one with seriously amazing hair.

  4. I haven't seen any Asian shows since I left Malaysia, maybe when Little Tyke is older then I can sit and watch with him but for now, hubby and I watch pretty much only English shows. :-(

  7. Oh I will have to check this out, and oh yeeeaah he is easy on the eyes for sure. You should change the name of your blog to the Eye Candy Shop hahaha. Yes it is kind of weird when they change cast members they do this quite a bit on soap operas, but the whole cast? Wow.

  12. How dayummm they're gorgeous. I'm currently watching Tiempo de Guerra on Netflix and the guys in there are veeery easy on the eye - a plus of binge watching, eh? Either way, I haven't seen this K-drama, but you've pretty much convinced me with the casting lmao, after the episode of Fargo I'm currently watching I might give it a look so we can fangirl together lool.

That sounds like a really fun series too, hopefully even with the change in cast the second season is still as good as the first :)

Hope you had a lovely weekend! We took the boys to an indoor play centre to get out of the humid weather and they loved it :)
