I'm a big fan of denim skirts. They are such a timeless and effortlessly chic wardrobe essential. I personally favor an A-line silhouette with a midi length in a mid blue denim for it's classic versatility and ability to transcend seasons. I have a button front denim skirt from Zara that is very similar to the one Hedvig from The Northern Light is wearing above. I ususally do a more dressed down look but I do really like this polished outfit and how the slouchy turtleneck sweater, tailored wool coat, smart handbag and heels elevates the casualness of the skirt. This look could easily go from day to evening and is totally perfect for this time of year. It can also be work appropriate for a business casual setting or if you work in a creative industry. Are you a denim skirt fan?

I like them for the Fall to heavy for Spring and Summer but they do make a fashion statement.

I love that skirt! It reminds me of a skirt I had in the 9th grade. Mine was a little longer though. I like how denim skirts never go out of style!
Absolutely 100 percent.
Wow, I remember Hedvig from back in the old blogging days! I do like longer denim skirts like this, but recently bought a denim dress that I can't wait to wear. Hope you have a lovely weekend, Rowena. x /Madison

Yes, I'm definitely a denim skirt fan. This button up denim skirt is so beautiful. I agree that it would look great both in a casual and a polish version. Denim skirts are very practical. I have two blue denim skirts that I wear very often. I also have one white denim skirt. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have any denim midi skirts like this but I have embraced denim mini skirts again recently, and have a chambray maxi skirt I love! Denim skirts are the best :)
Hope that you had a good weekend :) It's a nice relaxing long weekend here.
