Beauty Products, Favorite Beauty Products

This is where I talk about some of the beauty products I've been loving lately...

All of these are formulated without controversial ingredients and are cruelty-free.

Formulated with OSKIA’s unique nutritional approach and signature MSM repair & regenerating complex, this luxurious multi-vitamin night cream is like a supercharged overnight health & beauty boost for your skin. To be honest, this is actually my second jar of this cream and I can't believe I didn't sing it's praises sooner because it is so good. The texture is lightweight yet rich at the same time and it absorbs beautifully. It can be used as a sleeping mask or a night cream. I like it as a night cream and find that it works particularly well paired with the OSKIA Super 16 Advanced Nutri-Active Collagen Serum (reviewed here). When I use this, I can expect to wake up to a soft, healthier-looking morning complexion that appears refreshed, toned and luminous.
$136 (1.69 fl oz / 50 mL) at SpaceNK, Cult Beauty and OSKIA

This glow enhancer for nails with UV filtering and antioxidant properties, combines color and care. Optical brighteners impart a milky wash of pink color to give nails a natural yet polished look. And it prevents future discoloration and brighten nails with continued use. I'm not a big nail polish person because of the chemicals but I love the botanical formulation as well as the ease and effortlessness of this polish/treatment. It's the perfect your nails but better product.
$20 (0.4 oz / 12 mL) at Ulta Beauty, Amazon and Londontown

I've been using this as my day cream and adore how it melts into my skin to intensely hydrate and lock in moisture through the day. It contains a unique barrier boosting Tri-Ceramide Complex (ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids) is enriched with soothing, restorative bakuchiol and shea extracts that improves skin’s texture for plump, supple results and a stronger skin barrier. This hydrates so well with a light silky finish and I'm all for reinforcing my skin barrier. And it's so affordable. The only thing I don't love is the packaging. While it is great that is made from monomaterial plastic and fully recyclable, the pump doesn't always dispense product which is not so great. The brand is also working on refillable packaging which means they take sustainability seriously.
$14.99 (1.69 fl oz / 50 mL) at Cult Beauty and Target

I'm particular about shampoos because I like to focus on scalp care. This rebalancing shampoo is made with a patented cold process method to ensure the active ingredients remain fresh and highly potent. This A plant-derived formula with ylang ylang, moringa oil, vetiver and rosemary gently removes residue while balancing the natural moisture of the scalp and nourishing and protecting hair from free radical damage. I really like the way it effectively cleans, boosts moisture and controls frizz. And it smells lovely without any added fragrances.
$28 (10 fl oz / 296 mL) at Amazon, Violet Grey, NetAPorter and Revolve

So many hair conditioners create the illusion of smoothness by using silicones, which form a waterproof seal around the hair to block out humidity. The seals build up with continued usage which weighs hair down while making it increasingly difficult to receive moisture that leads to flat and brittle hair. This nutrient rich conditioner that is free of silicones is made with breathable plant oils that penetrate the hair cuticle to deliver weightless, lasting hydration and nourishment. This has become a favorite because it works as it claims and leaves my hair smooth, bouncy, shiny and frizz-free without any added weight or residue.

Hi there Rowena! I hope you're having a good start of the weekend!

First of all thanks for your love on my latest blog post, talking to other freelancers could be refreshing so your comment is really appreciated it!

I like that your beauty recommendations are always as sustainable as possible and cruelty free. Congratulations for that!

First time hearing about the brand, I don't know if I could get it in Europe but the Beauty boost and the moisturizing rich cream sounds dreamy to me! You made such a perfect description and now I would like to have them on my bednight table ;)

Thank you for awesome lists as always, chingu! That Byoma one sounds really good (despite the pump issue). I'm trying to get back into a decent skin care routine since I've really kinda been lax about it for the past few years and it's really starting to show....waaaaaaaaah! I'm thinking...slow steps first like starting a double-cleanse method. Fingers crossed.
Have a great week ahead:)
