A Personal Update

As I had previously mentioned, I've been busy with some personal matters and will not be able to post or visit blogs as much this month. Thank you to everyone who expressed their concern and encouragement on the post or reached out to me personally.

This is the time of year that we go through our health screenings and both my husband and I have had to get more scans than usual which is both nerve wracking and time consuming. We both had procedures done this week and are awaiting results. My echocardiogram keeps getting rescheduled and has now being pushed back to the first week of August. Fortunately I haven't experienced tachycardia as frequently since my physical.

My mom was struck by a car last month. We rushed her to the hospital immediately and she had a battery of tests and x-rays done. Thankfully she didn't suffer any broken bones or structural damage but the impact from the collision which knocked her to the ground was a major shock to her system and it has affected her ability to properly walk. She has been in physical therapy and has a home health aide and we help when we can.

We have also started to socialize a little more as friends have been visiting from out of town. We meet up outdoors and still adhere to the personal safety guidelines we set up for ourselves to avoid getting COVID. We know so many people who've caught the BA.5 variant lately and while some cases are mild, some have been seriously ill for weeks.  I've also been occupied with a few home improvement projects and setting up my new iMac. I hope to be more active again as things get wrapped up.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and staying cool and well.

OMG I am so sorry to hear about your mom, I have she has a speedy recovery. That must have been so traumatic.
I pray you and your husband clear test results. It is unfortunate how so many tests and procedures are being pushed because of staff shortages. I wish you all well.
