Beauty Products, Favorite Beauty Products

This is where I talk about some of the beauty products I've been loving lately...

Once upon a time, the ever popular Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask used to be my favorite overnight lip treatment but since I decided to move on from any brands that test on animals, I had to find a cruelty free alternative. Enhanced with antioxidant-rich plum blossom extract to soothe, shea and muru muru butters to lock in moisture and glycolic acid to smooth lips without irritating them, Mamonde's Lip Sleeping Mask works just as well to help me wake up to noticeably softer and hydrated lips. The multi-tasking formulation of this K-beauty product is lovely to use and it's vegan certified.
$16 (0.7 oz / 20 mL) at Amazon

This breakthrough formulation consists of an exclusive retinoic complex consisting 0.5% bakuchiol, a celebrated retinol alternative, rosehip seed oil, which contains natural retinoic acid, and superfood carrots, mangoes, broccoli and spinach that are all high in beta-carotene, a precursor to retinol. This potent combination addresses multiple signs of eye area issues including fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness, dark circles and dryness. I really like how this eye cream provides the upsides of retinol while being gentle and non-irritating. It works as it claims and my eye area appears and feels more refreshed since I started using it.
$42 (0.4 oz / 12 mL) at Ulta Beauty and Peach & Lily (Get $10 off your first order)

With the change in weather, I recently added this moisture-boosting facial serum enriched with a barrier boosting tri-ceramide complex combined with squalane and glycerin. With an ultra lightweight texture that sinks right into skin, it provides an instant boost of hydration that helps my skin to feel  smooth, soft and nourished. Byoma is fast becoming one of my favorite new beauty brands with their dermatologist tested and approved, oil-free, non-comedogenic, alcohol and fragrance-free, vegan and cruelty free range of skincare Their monomaterial plastic packaging is fully recyclable and the brand is recently launched refills for their products, taking their sustainability commitment to the next level. I also love the Byoma Rich Moisturizing Cream.
$19.59 (1.01 fl oz / 30 mL) at Cult Beauty and Target

Bio-Oil Skincare Oil is one of my favorite body care products so I had a feeling I would like this one and I actually like it even more. Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel features a unique, gel-based formula consisting of moisturizing oils and essential vitamin and  3% water that works by targeting the top layer of skin to restore moisture and soothe dry skin. This helps the skin to retain moisture by protecting it's natural moisture barrier. A little goes a long way with this pink gel which is easily to apply and absorbs readily. It's extremely hydrating, nourishing and helps to combat dry winter skin. My husband actually noticed how soft my skin has been and asked if he could use it too.
$12.99 (3.4 fl oz / 100 mL) at Ulta Beauty and Target

Comprised of 75% lotus water, Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream works to deeply hydrate while also helping to fortify the skin's natural barrier. The high lotus flower extract content features self-purifying properties that lock in moisture while removing damaging toxins and pollutants for a clearer and cleaner complexion. This cream has a gel like almost watery texture with a lightweight feel yet is intensely moisturizing like a rich cream. This cream gives me glowing, plump skin and it's the perfect moisturizer to use over actives like the Brandefy Skin 15% Vitamin C + E + Ferulic Acid Serum (an amazing dupe for Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum which I recently reviewed). It's vegan and cruelty free, and formulated without artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates, artificial colors, animal products, alcohol, mineral oils, essential oils, or silicone. And it's also very affordable.
$20 (2 fl oz / 60 mL) at Soko GlamAmazon, and Verishop

That Byoma serum sounds great, chingu! Thanks for the heads up:) And also for the heads up on Laneige...:(
PS We ended up just going to three houses. My daughter ended up not feeling too well in school, so I think it's a blessing in disguise. Three house was enough....I still think of what happened in Seoul, and Halloween really is not the same anymore:(
