Reading...
Told through a dual narrative format, this debut novel by Soon Wiley follows two protagonists, who come from very different experiences and places, yet share the struggle of trying to find their own identities. The story slowly unravels a mystery in an emotionally poignant way while also exploring the concept of belonging in a meaningful way.

Watching...
Kokdu is a fantasy romance drama about a grim reaper who comes to the mortal realm every 99 years to punish humans for their crimes. He meets a doctor whose fate is is intertwined to his and she could also be the key to breaking his curse. This one is a little all over the place but it's entertaining. I'm really watching this for Kim Jung Hyun who was incredible in Mr. Queen and the best thing about Crash Landing On You in my opinion. The female lead is very distracting in a negative way because her face doesn't move and you can't tell what emotion she's trying to express.

Listening to...
BTOB solo projects
BTOB is my favorite K-pop group. They can all sing and their songs are just really catchy. Apparently I had been sleeping on their solo releases but not anymore. I'm particularly enamored with Lim Hyun Sik's Swimming which is stirringly beautiful and Lee Chang Sub's Surrender which is an upbeat dance song.

Eating...
This old favorite has been back in heavy rotation lately. It's a delicious and nutritious dish that comes together easily. What I really like about this recipe is how easily it can be adapted with whatever ingredients you happen to have on hand or want to add and it all comes together in a single pot.

Drinking...
Thanks to ChocZero's Dark Chocolate Vegan Hot Cocoa with 0g of sugar and no artificial sweeteners, I enjoy hot chocolate every now and then. It's a nice little treat that I make with oat milk and my milk frother.

Practicing...
Pilates
I sprained my ankle right before the new year and spent most of January recovering. That didn't mean that I stopped working out. I switched from cardio to pilates and I love what it has done for my body so much that I have integrated it into my workout routine going forward even though I have started doing cardio again. The goal of pilates is to create a strong, functional body by increasing core strength and reducing muscle imbalance. After a little over a month, I feel it has greatly improved my core strength and flexibility and has given me a better sense of body awareness. And you don't need any fancy equipment because you use your own bodyweight as resistance. IsaWelly and Lottie Murphy are both fantastic instructors on Youtube who I swear by.

TBH I ordered 3 pairs of these because Everlane gave me a credit and have no regrets because they may just be the best underwear I've ever had. They're sustainably made from ECONYL® 100% regenerated nylon and bonded so they lie flat against your skin for a smooth and line free appearance. And they have a barely there, lightweight feel that is seriously comfortable. I already bought more.

Loving...
I did a big refrigerator clean out and organization before Chinese new year and I wanted a new solution to deodorizing our fridge that would be more streamlined than a box of baking soda and less tedious than charcoal packets. This stainless steel odor remover utilizes advanced catalytic decomposition technology to decompose harmful gases into water molecules which eliminates the odors at the source. It totally works and has been particularly effective at neutralizing the smell of our many jars of kimchi. It's little pricey at over $20 but it's supposed to last for 10 years which makes it more than worth it. I also purchased one for our freezer and have been recommending it to all my friends.

I need to watch this drama, it looks great. The fridge deodoriser looks great as well, as I don't like smells in the fridge, ha. All of these look like great options really, lovely food!! I hope you are having a great week so far Rowena...I'll have a post tomorrow, I'm still figuring out a schedule for posting. :)

Hello there,

I hope everything is going on your side, Rowena!

I always like the way you curate these selections, there are many things to mention or to talk about and you always find a way to put them in a nice moodboard that is really eye catching and appealing :)

I'd love to try that recipe (sounds healthy and tasty, and easy to make)! But I think the thing I liked the most is the Homike Deodorizer, I feel that it is difficult to find a thing to keep the fridge with a nice essence *_* This is also nice to see! And that hot chocolate sounds like the perfect plan for this winter season ;)

I always swear by Pilates but lately have been doing more yoga and joined a small rowing team. That song is really catchy, and I'm not that into K-Pop as much probably because I had a flatmate in school who used to blast it 24/7, haha. But, I like this one! Hope you enjoy a lovely weekend dear. I took a break from social media after the holidays, it was glorious. x/Madison

I need to get some of that hot chocolate. We always find the the hot chocolate too sweet and hence refrain.. a less sweet one would be great.

Love the inspo! I also love doing Pilates - it's such an amazing way to train your whole body without completely exhausting yourself and hating life :D

Your description of that leading actress in Kokdu....I die:D And as always, I am finding about great stuff in your post, chingu. That fridge deodorizer does look better than the baking soda we use! And that book also sounds interesting:)
