Eye Candy : Greg Hsu For Elle Men

Looking both dashing and debonair and the picture of the boy next door, Greg Hsu showcases his duality in double covers or Elle Men China. The Taiwanese actor and Fendi ambassador goes back to his roots modeling a range of fall fashion from Fendi and Harry Winston jewelry and watches and he does a fine job. The images photographed in a studio are equally as impressive as the ones taken on location in Florence and in The Four Seasons Florence. The indoor chess set, blue tile background shots and the image where he's outside in the leather jacket are positively swoonworthy! In the accompanying interview, Greg reflects on his life as as actor as well as his experience on Chinese Restaurant, the reality show he filmed earlier this year where a group of Chinese actors opened and operated a Chinese restaurant in Budapest, Hungary for 21 days. We're actually watching this now. It's quite fun and Greg is an MVP for all the tasks he gamely takes on in making the restaurant a success. His gentle and humble demeanor is so attractive.

Greg Hsu, Greg Han or Hsu Guang Han as he's also known began his acting career in 2013 but it wasn't until 2019 that he really broke through. He garnered attention as a mysterious gangster in the Netflix action noir drama Nowhere Man and had a pivotal supporting role in the prestigious film A Sun which was shortlisted for the Best International Feature Film at the 93rd Academy Awards. But it was the Taiwanese drama Someday Or One Day that propelled Greg into the international spotlight. His convincing performance in the dual roles of Li Zi Wei and Wang Quan Sheng was an integral component of the time traveling romance thriller's immense success and popularity. His character carried a large part of the narrative and he did an excellent job of creating such nuanced and complex performances that the viewer could tell who they were watching just by observing his body language and eyes. Someday Or One Day is easily in my top 10 dramas that I've ever watched.

 

I have admit that I've fallen into a bit of a  Greg Hsu rabbit hole since watching the new Someday Or One Day movie and rewatching the series subsequently this year. I have come to appreciate his choices as well as his acting talents. While he's a very watchable romantic lead, Greg isn't afraid to challenge himself to convincingly play villains and he also excels in comedy and action in Marry My Dead Body as a homophonic cop who has to marry a gay ghost and help him find peace to move on. This movie had us both laughing and crying and we might've watched it more than once. Ok he's very handsome and yes my husband is aware of my crush. He knows my type haha. Did I mention he also sings. I would say that his fault is that he has a tendency to mumble but that tends to be a very Taiwanese trait cause my husband does it as well.
