The Uncomfortable Truth

 facts are facts, uncomfortable truth,

We seem to be living in age of media manipulation and misinformation. This is compounded by people choosing to ignore facts because it's more comfortable when faced with truths that pose any type of  inconvenience or discomfort.  Sure living with blinders on can be a way to cope but it's shortsighted and certainly not sustainable for the longterm without posing some detrimental effects.

The truth will always be the truth whether we choose to acknowledge it or not. If you're fortunate enough to have the luxury to momentarily ignore it, that doesn't mean it won't catch up with you at some point. Critical thinking is always your friend. Question anything that doesn't seem right and learn the actual facts rather than accepting anything at face value. Our governments and media have their own agendas which are not necessarily in the general public's best interest and sometimes only one side presented. Just because something is being reported in the news doesn't mean it's true. It can be easy to choose the path of least resistance, close your eyes and go along with what they say but in the end we are all on our own to look out for ourselves.

I 100 percent agree I do not believe everything in the media is staged for what they want us to know and also exaggerated. We have to be smarter than that and do our own research. I understand some of the news is hard to find but we cannot assume every information given to us is the truth.

I agree not everything on the news is true. I think we're living in a time where it's easy to believe something is true rather than research what's going on.

Well said. The interest and social media has made it far too easy to manipulate people..

Amen, chingu. It's scary to think that nowadays, critical thinking seems to be in short supply:( MSM is truly scary.
