Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024

Happy New Year, New Years Intentions, New Years Goals, Intentions For A New Year

This time of year always has me feeling reflective. While I'm trying to be hopeful, the current state of the world is just filled with so much despair, devastation and suffering with all the wars, climate change, poverty and COVID on the rise again. I'm not really one for new year's resolutions but I am big on establishing goals and intentions as something to work towards. My focus continues to remain on self care and self improvement.

Personally 2023 was challenging for societal reasons. I sprained my ankle last year and while it sucked at the time, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it led me to my journey of pilates which has been incredible for building core strength and flexibility and has become a major component of the 3-2-8 workout method I currently use. I was in physical therapy for a few months for rehabilitation and my ankle which has been plagued with persistent injuries came out feeling much stronger than it has been in years. I'm incredibly thankful for that and to my therapist for teaching how to avoid re-injury in the future. If you're in NYC, Spear is the best if you need physical therapy and there is no stigma around masking there. I plan to continue 16:8 intermittent fasting and eating twice daily as it just helps me to feel better. I'm really good with vegetables but I do need to find ways to eat more protein so I can build muscle mass. We continued to do well with less consumption though there were key purchases that made improvements to our lives like this air purifier and a Theragun Mini Massage Gun. Mindful consumption and reducing our toxic load remains a goal. At the end of the day, I just want to make sure my actions reflect my values.

Happy New Year! Congratulations on surviving 2023, particularly if you didn't ignore reality because it was inconvenient for you. Wishing everyone good health, peace, love and happiness in 2024. Don't get COVID! Even a mild infection can compromise the immune system and increase risk of developing into long COVID and other more serious health conditions.

Hello Rowena, the truth is that since before 2020 I kind of stopped making resolutions, I always have goals and objectives but sometimes the social situation affects my plans, I hope that this new Year is better than 2023, which for me was a bit chaotic because In addition to the points you mention, in my case I had to deal with metal health issues, political crisis in my country, it was challenging but thank God the last quarter was better for me and here I am again, wanting to continue advancing at my goals! Happy New Year dear.

Well mention Rowena very true everything negative is rising we have to do our best to avoid COVID and focus and pray for positive outcomes. 2023 was up and down for me I'm reflecting on changes to focus more on my life and my surroundings. I also will be doing what I enjoy so somethings have to give my last post farewell one will be 1/11 my new journey in trying new things and focus on reality is my main concern I will be on IG here and there and if is worth sharing a recipe I will post there but I will be living in the reality of things change is good and even better when you going to give other hobbies and project a try. I wish you the best this coming year 2024 with health, goals and finances.
