Eye Candy : Greg Hsu For Elle

While Taiwanese actor Greg Hsu is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, he did manage to make one last editorial appearance on the cover and in the pages of Elle Taiwan. The pictorial which was photographed in Tokyo captures his charming duality looking elegantly dashing suited up and boyishly handsome in fashion forward streetwear. They really managed to captured the 90's aesthetic that was the concept behind this shoot especially in the series of images in the restaurant where he is wearing the leather outfit. Those in particular look like movie stills. And the video of the shoot is such a fun peek behind the scenes.

Greg Hsu, Greg Han or Hsu Kuang Han as he's known broke through in 2019 with the Netflix action noir drama Nowhere Man, the critically acclaimed film A Sun and it was the the highly popular Taiwanese drama Someday Or One Day that propelled him into the international spotlight. While he could've coasted on similar romantic roles, Greg has continued to challenge his acting with a variety of compelling choices including villains that translated into convincing performances. A highlight is the immature misfit cop Wu Ming Han in the buddy comedy action film Marry My Dead Body which was my favorite movie of last year which did so well it got a spinoff series GG Precinct that was similarly chaotically entertaining but not quite as fun. And Greg cemented his popularity and stardom across Asia with his chilling portrayal of mysterious assassin Mr. Smile in the Korean mystery thriller series No Way Out: The Roulette. I admit that I watched it mainly for Greg. Even though he doesn't appear until more than halfway through, his character is pivotal to the plot and he was charmingly menacing as a cold killer. I'm biased I know. Anyway he worked up until his enlistments so hopefully there will be more projects unveiled before his return. I'll probably be watching Marry My Dead Body a few more times. I still have yet to watch 18×2 Beyond Youthful Days and The Invisible Guest which both look really promising.
