What’s In My Bag

In My Bag, Look In My Bag, A Look Inside My Bag, Purse Contents. Inside My Bag

I don't know about you but I've always been curious about the contents of other's people's bag because I feel like it gives a glimpse into people's personalities and sense of style. Or I might just be a nosey parker haha. I have shared mine before though it has been an age since I did one of these posts. The first one was in 2012. I had a flip phone and an iPod! The other one was in 2015 and I was carrying a Blackberry.  I was a minimalist even back then. Interestingly I do tote around more items now even though the size of my bag has probably decreased but I continue to try to keep it to streamlined to essentials. Not wearing makeup anymore makes things easier. Most of the time I use my Celine Trio Leather Crossbody which despite it's small size, holds quite a bit and the burgundy color goes with just about everything. So heres a breakdown of what's in my bag -

Top row (left to right)
Apple iPhone 15 - I went for the regular model over the Pro this year because I wanted a pink phone. Pink is my happy color.
Smythson Panama Small Moon Purse - I've had this this pretty mini wallet for a few years and it's still like new. The small size is perfect for my needs because I carry the minimum amount of cards and use cash less these days.
Business cards
Lucky charms
House keys

Second row (left to right)
Apple Earpods Pro - I always have these in my ears even when I'm not actively listening to anything because they keep strange people - specifically men from talking to me and when they do I can act like I don't hear them. The noise cancelling feature is such a life saver on public transportation.
Portable Fan - great for staying cool
Mini Measuring Tape - comes in handy when shopping
Glasses Case - I always get compliments whenever I pull this out. A zip pocket  on the back side upgrades it to more than just an eyewear case.
Nick's Protein Bar - I usually carry a snack just in case of low blood sugar. I like that this protein bar because it contains 16 grams of protein and no added sugar, plus they taste like a candy bar.

Third row (left to right)
Extra KN95 masks - I wear a mask whenever I leave my home because we're still in an ongoing pandemic. I've had recurrent nightmares about being without one in the subway so I always make sure to have a few with me.
Compact Scissors - not something I thought I needed but they really come in handy.
Pen
Mirror and Blotting Papers
Anya Hindmarch Girlie Stuff Pouch - I use this chic little pouch to contain all the small loose items so they're not rattling around in my bag.
Pepper Spray - I started carrying pepper spray and a personal safety alarm in 2020 when anti-Asian hate attacks became commonplace. They've decreased but sadly remain an issue so I still carry both for personal protection. I hope to never have to use either.

Bottom row (left to right)
Baggu Eco Bag - I always have a few of these recycled nylon bags which are so useful for shopping and totally eco-friendly. This one is my fave!
Touchland Glow Mist Revitalizing Hand Sanitizer -  this is the best hand sanitizer. I much prefer sprays over gels for ease of use and this has the loveliest rosewater scent. The compact size also makes it easy to carry.
Gloves - I'm extremely mindful of what I touch and don't touch but you never know when you might need an extra layer of protection especially with the rise of monkey pox cases.
Touch Tool - not pictured but I do use one to open doors and to press elevator buttons.
Tissues
Malin + Goetz Vitamin B5 Hand Treatment - this hand cream is so good. It moisturizes without feeling greasy and has the most divine bergamot scent.
Vacation Super Spritz SPF 50 Sunscreen Mist - I carry this around for sunscreen reapplication. It's a little pricey but totally worth it for the convenience, lightweight feel and how it never irritates my eyes.
Glossier Balm Dotcom - I go through a lot of lip balms but always come back to this because it hydrates my lips so comfortably. Currently using Hot Cocoa which is sweet and chocolatey with a chestnut tint.
Altoids Strawberry Mints - I find regular mints to be a little overpowering. These have a cool and fruity flavor that is perfectly refreshing.

What's in your bag? Do you also carry some of the same things as I do?

Since the kids are all grown up I am downsized my bag greatly. Plus living in the suburbs means you always have your car. So most of my bag contents now lives in my car.

I also love this type of posts, chingu, and yes, I am a nosey one:D And as someone who has the pink iPhone 13 mini, I definitely love the pink phone...hehe...
On a much serious note, that's really quite unfortunate that you now carry a pepper spray. Totally understandable. If I know where I can get that here where I am, I'd totally carry one too!

I agree and also love to see the contents of other people's bag. Although, mine might read stylish but slight germaphobe, haha! Which I am sort of ... I used to carry pepper spray when I was in university! I only had to use it once but still scary! Hope you're doing well and have a lovely weekend Rowena, dear! /Madison
