Banila Co Clean It Zero Original Cleansing Balm Review: The K-Beauty Icon You Need in Your Routine

I started double-cleansing in 2014 after watching a show which featured Park Shin Hye talking about how it was an indispensable step in her skincare routine and I also learned that it was a common practice in most Asian skincare regimens. It's become a common practice for me as well.

The double cleanse process usually involves using an oil or balm cleanser followed by cleansing with a traditional creamy or foaming cleanser. One of the first balm cleansers I tried was Banila Co Clean It Zero Original Cleansing Balm and it's been  This award-winning K-beauty classic has been a top selling cult favorite for years and it is now available in limited edition Snoopy packaging that is almost too cute to use. I'm putting this product to the test to see if it's still as good I remember after all these years.

Performance
Banila Co Clean It Zero Original Cleansing Balm has a sherbet like appearance and texture with a very light fruity scent. I generally use one scoop which is enough to cover my face. As I massage it it in circular motions around my face, the product readily transforms from a balm to a smooth oil that gently melts into skin. I usually work in my balm cleansers for a minute or two before adding water to let it emulsify before rinsing it off.  This balm transforms into a milky emulsion and rinses off cleanly without any residue. I really like how it effectively removes sunscreen and cleans and soothes my face while promoting a healthy complexion and skin barrier. My skin feels soft, refreshed, and hydrated. Unlike some cleansing balms that can leave skin stripped or tight, this one maintains my skin’s natural moisture barrier. And it doesn't irritate or sting my eyes. Clean It Zero is just as good as I remember and I will definitely be putting it back in my rotation.

Beyond this darling collectible packaging, Clean It Zero Original Cleansing Balm has earned worldwide love for a good reason as it remains a tried and true mainstay as a  a reliable first-step cleanser that leaves your skin soft and radiant. And what's more, they have an entire range of cleansing balms that address various skin issues like acne, dullness, aging and dryness. Banila Co Clean It Zero Original Cleansing Balm is such a good cleansing balm that works as it's supposed to. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who actively double cleanses or wants to start.
