One thing that I've done which has been incredible for both my mental health and physical health is to just live without worrying about social acceptance and anyone's else approval. It takes a certain kind of strength to choose authenticity over approval and the reward for this is freedom. When you have the courage to be disliked, you stop living for the shifting expectations of others and start living in alignment with your own values which is very important to me during these turbulent times where taking a stand is meaningful.
It doesn’t mean being dismissive of others but choosing authenticity over constant validation and chasing likes and follows. It means living with a willingness to stand by my truth, even if it’s not universally accepted. When you accept that not everyone will agree with you, like you, or understand you, you create a space to live by your own values and this is so empowering and liberating. You stop bending yourself into shapes that don’t fit, and you stand in your truth instead. The result is a lighter heart, clearer boundaries, and the ability to connect with people from a place of honesty instead of performance. The right people will respect you for who you truly are, not for the mask you wear. I'm not going to fake that everything is fine when it's not. My truth right now is confronting the reality of the horrors that are happening in my country and around the world and preparing for a possible societal collapse.

I need to do this more. Thank you for this reminder.
I think we should prepare as much as we can.
Mental preparation is also important.
Clear boundaries are a must. We don't have time to pretend in these times.
Yes, you're right. A lot is changing. Being at peace with oneself will be an advantage in everything that's yet to come.
