Descendants of the Sun, Song Hye Kyo, Song Joong Ki

Loving... the tease of Spring weather we've had in NYC this week. The temps have hit ver 70 degrees that past two days and it's been glorious.

Listening... to Busker Busker's Cherry Blossom Ending. It just feels right this time of year. I was reading that this song has earned an incredible 3.8 million dollars to date.

Eating... this simple salad of organic avocado, black beans and kale. It's super easy and delicious. Bonus: it also makes my skin look really good.

Drinking... warm lemon water with a touch of turmeric. I drink lemon water every day anyway so I thought I'd try to amp up the benefits and get an extra anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory boost by adding turmeric. It definitely takes a little getting used to.

Watching and Totally Obsessed With... Korean drama Descendants of the Sun. It's a sweeping love story set in a fictional third world country about a volunteer surgical doctor and an elite special forces officer. These characters are brought to life by Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki respectively. They're both killing it with their performances and amazing chemistry and it doesn't hurt that they're impossibly gorgeous as well. I love the mix of action, drama and humor. Ah the feels at the intense way he gazes upon her... Greece serves as the fictional backdrop and the scenery is just breathtaking. Watch the trailer.

Peeking in on... Spring Training baseball. I know some people think baseball is boring but it's pretty much the only sport I follow and it's been fun to see my team, the Yankees back in action.

Wearing... shoes and sneakers instead of boots. I'm ready to put my boots away.

Washing... some of my cashmere sweaters. I'm feeling confident that it will stay fairly warm and I won't need them again until next winter.

What's up with you?

Ending with one more of Joong Ki just because he's so cute! Happy weekend!

Great to hear that spring is slowly making an appearance in NYC! I also can't wait to put away my winter clothes and I'm looking forward to longer days.

It is starting to feel a little more like spring as well around here, as far as I can tell from my couch, that is.

You are really looking forward to spring, Rowena, I can feel it. Trees are already blossoming here, and I am also very happy about it. I haven't worn boots for already month and a half, it was a warm and non-snowy winter here. That salad looks very delicious, and I bet your skin looks good because of the avocado. The daylight saving is something I like too, despite that I have to get up an hour earlier. Happy Friday, Rowena! xo

It's definitely feeling like Spring on my side too and the weather has been slowly but surely warming up the past week. My MIL planted tulips in our backyard and they are sprouting beautifully! Can't wait for them to bloom!

I love my ankle boots, but I am also ready to welcome spring. Hopefully even sunnier days are ahead where you are. Yes, turmeric is a bit bitter, especially if you're not used to it, but we use it in teas, a turmeric milk tea and add cardamom, cinnamon, and dash of honey.

Oh yes the weather has been sooo nice! I swear by antioxidants, I take them every day and I have not had a cold for the flu in 2.5 years. But every time I stop bamo I get sick.

I must try adding tumeric to my lemon water. Wonder what it tasted like. Great idea. Our weather has been sunny too but very rainy at the same time. Like it can't make up its mind, lol.

I watched DOTS too! I was one of those people who thought a pre-produced drama wouldn't be that great. But I was totally wrong. The rating is crazy too, it reached My Love from Another Star highest rating in only 6 episodes *_*

Jong Ki is gorgeous indeed! I would have totally fallen for him if I was in place of that doctor:)...besides, there is something attractive about army men, let's not deny it:). Descents of Sun sounds like an amazing drama.

I don't drink lemon with water, but I drink lemonade fairy often and I believe it is good for our health. Lemon has many benefits and I try to use it in cooking too (well not exactly at cooking because vitamin C can't survive high temperature but I rather use it to season the salads, fish etc).

I love avokado and I must try that salad!!!

I haven't heard that song ( Cherry Blossoms), I will look it up.

hahaha I totally understand what you are going through, Rowena! As I am feeling the same here too *_^ Oh gosh, can they be any less appealing, please? they have such great chemistry on screen and it is those cute little moments that capture my heart... simple cheesy lines like, "About that kiss, do you want me to confess, or apologize?" which only the Koreans seem to be able to pull them off without looking silly, haha!

I am thoroughly enjoy this and I wish I had not started at all, as now I am having withdrawal syndrome for desperately watching for the next episode to be available!! yucks.

am glad that spring has finally come for you and the weather is warming up! I am experiencing the chilling cold weather of HK these few days and I am beginning to feel a little "moody" already, haha *_^

Have a great weekend, my dear friend.

Oh wow, that's a huge amount to have made from one song alone - I'll have to give it a listen sometime soon! I'm also ready to put my boots away, which means it's time to start shopping for alternatives :)

That Korean drama sounds like a really great show. We don't get much (if any) Asian dramas. I remember being in Hong Kong 10 years ago now and becoming instantly immersed in the drama TV shows! Didn't understand a word but we managed to catch on, somehow.

I've been drinking hot/warm water with lemon at the start of everyday. But I've only just started, curious about the tumeric but I don't think I'm there yet.
Does this K Drama have subtitles? (If so, I'm in)
