Review : eShakti

Since I practically live in dresses during the summer, my interest was piqued when eShakti reached out to me about reviewing their product. eShakti is an online apparel retailer that carries an impressive range of chic yet modest dresses, skirts and tops for women sizes 0-36. And on top of that, they offer custom fit and styling options that let you tailor products to your preference for a flattering fit and unique look.

After some deliberation, I chose this lovely sleeveless, v-neck, crepe number. While I didn't go for the custom sizing or details, I did check out the customization tools which are easy to use and allow variations to sleeve types, necklines and hem lengths. For some styles there is also an embellishment option. This dress may as well have been custom tailored for me because the shape and styling is precisely what I would've chosen if I had designed it myself. I didn't even have to alter the length because it was already offered in my preferred midi length which is not always that easy to find. I don't know how many cute dresses I've passed on simply because I found them too short. I really like how the banded waist provides definition and plays up the contrast of the varying prints while the fit and flare silhouette is both feminine and figure flattering. The fabric is a good weight and thick enough that I don't need to wear a slip underneath. I probably sound like an old granny for saying that but I actually still wear slips when needed. My favorite feature is the pockets cause pockets on dresses rock! The one detail I had an issue with was the bust darts which can stick out and create a triangle effect. This was corrected by smoothing down the bodice but it's something I'll have to be aware of whenever I wear it.

I would definitely recommend eShakti if you're looking for an everyday or a special occasion dress. They also have a fantastic section devoted to bridesmaids. They frequently update their styles which are pretty reasonably priced with many items under $100. They also run promotions often like giving you a $25 credit when you register with the site. Have you ever shopped or worked with eShakti before? What was your experience like?

DiscIosure received a complimentary dress from eShakti for the purposes of this review. I was not provided any other compensation and all opinions expressed here are 100% my own.

Hi hi hi!

The dress does look very lovely on you. At first I thought it was a top with a long skirt, maybe it's the black band in the middle that makes it look like a belt.

The whole outfit is very well put together. Fab review.
