Color Love : Radiant Orchid

Pantone Color of the Year, Pantone Color of the Year Radiant Orchid
What can I say about Pantone's color of the year Radiant Orchid that hasn't already been said before. Pantone describes this vibrant hue as "an enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones" that "inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health". Based on this description alone, I feel like I need an infusion of this color into my life. I also happen to think it's quite pretty especially when slightly muted. What are your thoughts on this color? Would you wear it or use it in your home?

I'm not sure if I would sport Radiant Orchard in terms of clothes, but I definitely see myself wearing some of the makeup. Already have my eyes on that Illamasqua polish!

I really love this vibrant hue: it screams spring to me, and I can see myself sporting an eyeshadow, a handbag or even a skirt in this color. As for my home, I'm not sure it would work with my current color palette, but I guess a photo frame wouldn't hurt :) I really love it!

At first I wasn't very happy with this color as color of the year, but it's starting to grow on me! This is a beautiful collage.

I don't have that color in my closet at all but definitely want at least one in that color. I normally dont follow trend but this color is too hard to resist. It reminds me of symbolic color of Thai Airways and Thai orchids too..

Obviously, I think this color is perfect for nail polishes and lipsticks, but it also looks fab in that Cambridge satchel!

Really gorgeous picks, Rowena!! As much as Iove radiant orchid as a color, I honestly don't think that the color would look good on me :) BUT, my little sister loves purple and this color is right up her alley, so these are all great gift ideas!

Yes this IS the color of the moment. And LOVE the Nina Ricci dress but of course I would it is almost two grand. Haha making fashion/fashion week available to the masses is what some people have a problem with, but things change. You either have to go with the flow or get out of the way.

I like the color but I can't see myself wearing it. I do agree it looks better when it's muted.

I feel like I've been working in radiant orchid for months (new stuff that isn't out yet) and it's nice to finally see some of it surfacing--I knew it would :) Such a pretty collection you put together Rowena!

I love the color itself, but I find it is not an easy shade to pull off in real life. I still want lipsticks and eyeshadows in this color, though! ;D

I adore the color itself. Purple is my favorite color so any shade really makes me happy. I don't actually own many purple items though. I would probably incorporate the color into my house before my wardrobe first. I just don't think the actual color is flattering ON ME. haha (sad face)

Ooh, yeah I've been seeing this color more and more. I love it!! I a huge fan of pinks and purples, so this is my perfect color. I definitely need to add more to my wardrobe. I love the idea of wearing it more muted as well. This would be gorgeous worn as makeup or nail polish too. Such a perfect pop of color for spring! : )
