Eye Candy : Park Shin Hye for InStyle

Park Shin Hye, Park Shin Hye in New York for InStyle

Park Shin Hye is the picture of modern urban glamour in this InStyle Korea editorial photographed by Zoo Yong Gyun on the streets of New York City. It's pretty cool to see locations that I'm actually quite familiar with here. I walked across the Holland Tunnel pedestrian bridge on Laight and Varick pictured above just last week. It's a fantastic backdrop for photos as are the cobblestone streets of Tribeca though they can be a little difficult to negotiate in high heels like Shin Hye is wearing in these photos. She must've worked on this shoot when she was in town recently for the DramaFever awards. The 24 year old actress who started acting at 13 has blossomed into a lovely young woman. In the accompanying interview, she revealed that she would like to try the action genre in a Tomb Raider like film. I really like how this editorial contrasts with her Audrey Hepburn inspired one and the styling is superb.

Happy Memorial Day to my friends in the US today. Let us be thankful as we honor and remember those who bravely made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for those who still serve.

These turned out beautiful! A lot of photos I've been seeing in magazines lately show the model with the same expression on her face and similar poses which I found so inartistic. I like that she really mixed it up!

Hello Rowena. The first photo is my favourite here - it looks so effortless, like an action shot, but I'm sure it was choreographed. The second to last picture is also beautifully elegant. I love how they've styled her, especially her hair! It looks very fresh, bouncy and voluminous, which is not a hairstyle you see in Asian editorials often. Hope you're enjoying your start to the week. Rosemary x

She's always very pretty. Did they stretch her in the top photo? She looks much taller than normal...

You totally keep me in the loop! Believe it or not I used to follow fashion quite a bit as I was always fascinated with the art form of it....now being a mom to 3 little ones I am lucky if I can throw on mascara in the morning! I loved this one....such classy shots and her pieces were beautiful! Happy week pal! Nicole xo

Hope you are off to a great weekend, my friend.

I love this editorial as everything looks so effortlessly chic though I'm sure lots of effort goes behind all these photos. I love her hair and the beautiful cityscape. Thank you for introducing to us such great editorials as usual.

Ugh! I just love this post, Park Shin Hye is one of my most favorite Korean actresses and I just think she's absolutely beautiful! I really loved her cute bob (like the one she sports on the cover of a Cosmo I saw) but her long locks that she's sporting now, especially with the clothes in this editorial make her look so mature and womanly! *___* So pretty! ^_^
