New Glasses for a New Year

Firmoo, Firmoo Glasses, Firmoo Eyewear, Buying Glasses Online, Inexpensive Eyewear

There was a time when I considered getting lasik eye surgery but I changed my mind after going in for a consultation where they let me sit in to watch an actual procedure. Did you know that they have to clamp your eyes open? I mean I understand why they have to do that but the thought of clamps on my eyes just freaked me out. I have problems just using eyedrops and forget about contacts.

Fortunately my prescription isn't so strong that I'm blind without glasses but I know I should be wearing them more often so when Firmoo offered to send me a new pair recently, I gladly took them up on it. Since I had worked with them before and had an account set up, it made the process even easier than I remembered because my prescription was already on file along with my photo to use with their Virtual Try-on System. My last pair of Firmoo frames are probably my favorite so I had an idea that I wanted something similar but not exactly the same. The shape and gradated color of the #F1015 style appealed to me and I really liked how they looked when I "tried them on".

So I placed my order on a Saturday and literally received my glasses the following Thursday. That's not even a week. This quick turnaround was definitely impressive but even more impressive is the quality of these glasses. Firmoo is great about consistently offering a good variety of styles but in comparing a previous pair to these glasses, I can tell that they have been improving their quality as well. These frames feel light yet sturdy with spring hinges and metal cap that are a nice touch. They actually look as good as a pair of designer frames to me. But the best part is that they don't come with a high designer price tag. Firmoo's frames start at just $19 and they have an incredible first pair free program for new customers. At first I was pretty doubtful about being able to shop for eyeglasses online but Firmoo has made the process so simple and hassle-free.

Do you wear glasses? Have you bought frames online before?

Disclosure: I received a complimentary pair of eyeglasses from Firmoo for the purpose of this review. I was not provided any other compensation and all opinions expressed here are 100% my own.

They fit your face so well and looking so adorable (Loving also your outfit, the jacket is very cool!). Im wearing Firmoo glasses everyday and as you I always had postive experience, I noticed their quality is higher too. Have a good week ahead my dear, many kisses! xo

I always use my Firmoo frames when I go to my eye doctor so that I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for the frames at their store! Love those on you by the way!

What a nice collaboration, Rowena! Especially when you need to wear glasses! I have heard about this brand before, but thank God I don't have to wear glasses for now. These look great on you, I am a fan of bigger frames when it comes to glasses. I also can see their quality! Btw, the link to the FB page leads to a page saying: "This content is currently unavailable". I didn't know that they have to clamp your eyes open, sounds awful! Happy Monday! xo

They look great on you Rowena! Such a beautiful frame! I've been wearing glasses since 1st grade. Contacts since 8th grade. My eye doctor is always mentioning surgery, but I can't get with it either. LOL

I don't but I really need them, it is getting bad. I do not drive so have put it off but do not think I can do this much longer. Warby Parker had their headquarters in my building were I work so I just may head down there as I heard they fit people there.

Like you, I seriously contemplated lasik but didn't go through with it as I read that it can lead to dry eye - my eyes are already dry enough! So it's just lenses and glasses for me. I do like your new glasses. Very clean and modern

I've always loved that style of frame, but it never sits on my face correctly. I have a barely-there nose bridge, so glasses with nose pads are a must for me. I always have to go in to the eye doctor to pick out and try on glasses; I can never order them online, because I have to know how they'll feel or sit on my face haha.

These frames look great on you! Definitely match your personality. <3

The glasses looks great on you. I'm sticking to contact lenses and glasses as well. I'm afraid to go through the procedures on lasik eye surgery.

I love your new glasses! The clear/gradient frame is really interesting and flattering. I think glasses are super cute and sexy! I don't know why people wear contacts all the time!

Clamp your eyes open. Talk about cruel & unusual punishment. Hey, at least your glasses are cute as can be & I consider it a useful fashion accessory.

EYES CLAMPED OPEN??? WHAT IS THIS, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE????? But yeah, I tried contacts for a while, and that was quite the hassle as well (but at least now I'm comfortable with occasionally prodding my eyeball!). Been hearing a lot about Firmoo recently--haven't checked the site, but those glasses look good on you!

this pair of eyeglasses is really lovely! I don't wear glasses and sometimes I almost wish I do...there are so many lovely frames out there:)

Those look great on you! I think I am getting to the point where I need glasses...I definitely need reading glasses. I can't read tiny print at all anymore. The eyes clamped open thing would freak me out too!

The glasses looks great on you. I've never bought frames online before, not sure why though.
I have contemplated lasik several times before, and it's for that same reason why I haven't gone through with it. I'd love the convenience of not wearing glasses, but the eyes open during the procedure scares the crap out of me. I'm waiting for them to invent something where they just shine something in your eye to correct your vision like in those sci-fi show, lol!
